Lock in the juicy flavors and create a caramelized crust with the Cuisinart Stainless Steel Smashed Burger Press! Place a loosely shaped ball of meat on your oiled skillet or griddle. The more meat you use the larger the patty you can make. (Add a little butter for that extra flavor), then use the Heavy-duty 6" Smashed Burger Press and press down until you touch the cooking surface. The edge-lip of the burger press keeps all the flavorful juices locked into place. The patty will develop a nice, caramelized layer on the bottom, make sure you scrape under the patty prior to flipping it, to make sure you keep that crust in tack! Classic smashed burgers are topped with Mayo and American cheese, but with this burger press you can make your own creations at home! Change up your normal burgers with the Cuisinart Stainless Steel Smashed Burger Press, the thinner patty will add a flavorful crust that will amaze your family and friends.

The edges are sharp, and for some unnessary reason they use some sort of industrial glue to attach the cardboard label, which is the biggest pain in the butt to remove. As far as I am concerned the people who come up with this idea of gluing labels and stickers that don't come off easily should be fired!! Why do they feel the need to punish people for buying their products?
I bought this 'Cusinart' press expecting the stainless steel to be as food grade. I tested it with a magnet, and to my surprise - it stuck. Food grade 304 or 316 stainless steel is NOT magnetic which the main differences from 430 stainless steel which is what I think this is made from. While technically this press is made from 'stainless steel' and will have corrosion resistance, food-grade stainless steels contain higher levels of chromium and nickel. 430 stainless steel is not considered food-grade. From review sites, "...it is not suitable for use in food processing, storage, or handling applications due to its lower corrosion resistance and potential for contamination." I returned it.
Great heavy duty burger smasher. My son-in-law just presses down & burgers didn't stick to it. I like to put a piece of parchment paper down & smash. Works both ways & cleans up nice either way. Works alot better than a spatula...
Does what it is supposed to, not expensive and it is sturdy. When I was shopping them I saw several that had what looked like cheap welds holding the handle on. I saw a fail in those so I got this one. It is a solid piece. No cheap welds to come loose.
