So far this things works great, better than I expected.
I live in a rural area with poor cell connection. A while ago I bought a cell booster, step one and a success. That them let me consider a cellular router knowing very little about this tech I ordered the Cudy, midline always a good place to start.
Setup was a little flaky, hence the missing star. It didn't locate my cell connection (APN). I set it to mine in the menu and it still didn't take. I was ready to return it and thought...one more time. I hit factory reset rebooted, went until I could get to the APN setting and set it. While in the summary screen I could see the connections going green.
Speeds on the 5G wireless are awesome. Range on the 2.4 is pretty far for this kind of router. My TV is hardwired to the Router and works fine. (A bit slow to load main titles but my ISP was slow there too.)
Very nice graphical user screens with features like sending an SMS when near your specified usage setting...nice touch.
I'm happy, going to keep it and will cancel with my ISP nearer to this month end.

ALSO be prepared to get security alerts from �鶹�� as this unit thinks it is located in B.C. We are 1800 miles from there. Internal programing is set to central time but it will have B.C. local time. It took Rogers support 35 days to realize it was not their problem with location issues and when we contacted CUDY they said politely to bad so sad you passed 30 day refund. �鶹�� A to Z was no help. SO if you don't mind getting up to restart the unit and don't mind security alerts buy it .. OH YA top download speed on it is 53 mbps upload is 41... I am from Manitoba and if you look at the photo it indicated Surrey B.C. ........this is proof of why you get security alerts.

I just received this so I cannot comment on longevity BUT I will tell you that this solved a massive problem for me. I live in a basement where reception is extremely limited and sometimes even internet installed by bigger providers doesn’t work. I literally entered my phone sim to test- plugged it in followed the instructions provided and within a few minutes it was set up. The internet is extremely fast considering I only get 1 bar of lte on my phone normally in the basement. Further it works on multiple devices with the same speed. Highly recommend!!

I was coming to the end of my Sky Broadband contract and didn't want to commit to another 12, 24 month contract as my house is for sale and I will probably move into temporary accommodation. So I was looking for something that could support up to 3 people WFH, TV streaming (I have Sky Stream,2 Fire Sticks and Hive all depending on access to the internet. After carrying out research I thought that a Netgear Nighthawk M1 would be good, so got one on eBay at around £130. Although it worked, the signal was not that great around parts of the house: but one of the key reasons that I re-sold the Netgear, was that every 24 hours the PPP connection (via the SIM card) was reset, but the Netgear router could not deal with this and needed to be manually reset.

So I then came across this Router, which had plenty of good reviews. So I ordered one and set it up (which was really easy). Unlike the Netgear, the signal was better around the house, but importantly it automatically dealt with the PPP reset without the need for me to do anything. The router has easily dealt with everything that I have thrown at it - I do not see any difference between fibre broadband (I had 150Mbs) and the Cudy router using Tesco Mobile (on O2) - the speed is less - I think on average it is around 50Mbs, but everything works very well. Certainly I have had no complaints from anyone WFH, and Sky Stream (connected via power line adapters) is as responsive as it was previously. And the biggest surprise - this is a lot cheaper than I was going to have to pay to Sky. I have a Tesco Mobile unlimited SIM for only £20 per month, which is just as well as I have gobbled up over 40Gb in just over 2 days!

Como es una segunda residencia y la alarma depende de la buena conexión, le he puesto un UPS (batería) por si se queda sin alimentación eléctrica ( la alarma tiene la suya propia).

Se la he recomendado a un familiar que, por su trabajo, necesita estar siempre conectado a internet en horario comercial ( el servicio de fibra le había fallado varias veces, teniendo contratada con 2 compañías distintas). Desde que se lo puso, ya no ha tenido que decir a ningún cliente que no lo podía atender por falta de conexión, así que también está muy contento, obviamente cuando pierde la conexión de fibra y enciende este router no es la misma velocidad de conexión, pero para casos de emergencia le va muy bien.
