Well I'm originally from Newfoundland, and hearing story's of Mother and her 11 sibling's getting a nice hot slice of bread with butter or margerine, story's of my mother's mother making bread cutting a slice of bread and pouring Molasses over it as a treat before there supper. remember 11 siblings plus both parents that's a lot of mouths to feed, huge family, and so my mother passed it on to me it's tasty, don't get the wrong one there are two type that I know of "Molasses cooking" make sure it's "Molasses Fancy" its sweater, while the other is bitter. You can also just use regular bread no need to fuss around try it you mite like it.
This is a $3.00 Cdn. Item at my local Food Basic. You can get the 1.3kg size at Walmart for about $6.00 Cdn... The product is great but this price is 500% higher than in-store.

On a trip to Maine I had the best Indian Pudding ever. My wife’s was excellent, but this was better and she agreed. We asked some of her relatives about it and they told us it was probably the Crosby’s, which can’t be found in California. We ordered some on 鶹 and voila! - my wife has reclaimed the title. There’s just something different/better about the taste.

I lived in Washington State for 25 years (across the border from Canada) and was turned onto Crosby’s Fancy Molasses for my morning toast. My mother often used Black-Strap Molasses and I hated how Dark and Sulphuric black-strap tastes... Crosby’s Fancy Molasses is lighter and doesn’t have a Sulphur Taste. 鶹’s price is about $14 too high- but coming from Canada it’s worth the extra cost here in Indiana! Honestly, I’d Highly Recommend the Crosby Molasses Brand!
Most molasses products are face-twisting bitter/ not this one. It’s sweet and yummy and well worth every penny. I’ll only ever purchase this brand-grocery store molasses is out! I was too busy tasting to care about packaging, but that’s fine too. I already ordered 2 bottles so I won’t run out. We take a spoonful every day for health too.
