- Reviewed in Canada on December 2, 2024Verified PurchaseI have used the device just one time. I cooked a little pot roast. Everything went well and I think the issue with condensation spilling over and out has been fixed. I will say that I have no experience with crock pots but the low setting seems a bit hot, at times it started to boil, I don't think it should do that. The stoneware seems sturdy and durable enough.
The reason I take a star off is because all of the plastic feels extremely cheap and like it's going to snap at any moment. The handles and power knob feel like the same plastic that disposable spoons and forks are made out of. When I pick the thing up I'm afraid the handle is just going to snap. I haven't used the Little Dipper and likely never will.
It's a basic slow cooker that will get the job done.
The recipes in the Owner's Manual are a nice extra.

- Reviewed in Canada on March 9, 2025Verified PurchaseGreat product for the money, just as advertised. I would definitely recommend this product and seller
- Reviewed in Canada on December 10, 2024Verified PurchaseI had a crock pot for 13 years and the lid shattered unfortunately, so I had to buy a new one and picked this one cause it was the same size, and was only $39.99, the price i thought was great ... ya know ... absolutely ... but I guess you get what you pay for?
I've used this 3 times, the 1st time it was great ... I was a little iffy on how hot it was, but it cooked great, then the 2nd time it was like it went super super hot even when it was on low, 3rd time it cracked, it wasn't a small crack either it completely cracked and then made a huge mess on my counter top from leaking ... wasn't impressed especially for being less then a month old !!!!!!
I wouldn't buy this again from 鶹 but probably from a actually store and get a Warranty
Please be advised ... do not buy this
I saw alot of other reviews ...saying theirs cracked as well !!!!
- Reviewed in Canada on November 27, 2016Verified PurchaseItem delivered quickly and arrived in perfect shape. I had it now for only 2 weeks and I already cooked 4 batches of food for my dogs. I already have another crock-pot but about half the size of that one. I have 4 big dogs and I wanted to give them good quality home made food. My current crock-pot could only make enough food for 1 day to 1.5 day of mixing it with their regular kibbles. Now I can make batches that last me at least 3 days. My dogs love my cooking...LOL

*I found this crock-pot to heat on the rather hot side. In fact, even at the lowest setting the food is boiling quite vigorously. It is even boiling way more than my other smaller (older) crock-pot at its highest setting. At the highest setting, it gives a roaring boil. I tried to find information about how to lower the heating temperature of my new crock-pot. I was surprised to see that I wasn't alone with this over heating problem. My search only bring me to forums where they kept saying ''read the instructions''. I have been using a crock-pot for the last 20 years, I think I know how to use it...
*
*I fixed the problem by making and extension cord with a dimmer switch in series. Now I can adjust the heat so it only gives up a few bubbles of boiling here and there. Perfection...
*
UPDATE
I am joining a picture of the extension with the dimmer switch I made. Forgive the unfinished product, I plan to put it in a nice wooden bow with dovetails corners. However the picture should be self explanatory on how the extension is built.

*The little dipper that came with it, is just the right size for a food portion. I brought it at work and one hour before I go for my lunch, I put my soup, or my chili, or my stew in it and by lunch time it is nice and hot.
