    If you bake bread, make sourdough dough starters, homemade yogurt, or clabber your milk, this is indispensable. Along with heating pad, of course. I wish I had something like this years ago to regulate the temperature of my cooking. It's PERFECT.

    Purchased this after trying a different product that didn't work, so I was wary about trying this. However, from the start, it was clearly superior. The control for the warming mat is sturdy and very easy to operate. I placed the mat in the bread cozy and monitored the temperature with my own thermometer. I realized that the mat temperature is what displays on the control and it was very closely lined up to my own thermometer within a few degrees. Of course, the control had to be set higher to get the required warmth in the cozy. I set it at about 90-105 in order for the cozy to be about 80 degrees where my sourdough was warm enough for fermentation. Using this product, I was finally successful at baking sourdough bread. I love it and would recommend to anyone!

    The box when used with the heated proofing mat work like a charm. I live in Idaho and the winters are cold and it's difficult to maintain a warm enough temperature in the house to pep up my sourdough starter or to ferment my dough. This product does not come with the heated mat which is essential to maintain a proper temperature for creating and feeding a starter, as well as fermenting and proofing your dough. The nice thing is the bag for the proofing box also fits the bag for the proofing mat.
