    Two months in, so far no issues. My partner's able to use it without any issues by herself. The bars appear to be standing up to the weight of the cover fine.

    The installation wasnt too hard, although I found that once i had it in place, after following all the directions to a "T", that I had to make a couple adjustments, moving the baseplates further towards the outside edge of the tub so that the lid was less over the tub when open (which was making that side not useable and was putting strain on the bars). I suspect in my case this was because of the rectangular shape of my tub. Either way, so far, so good. If it fails prematurely ill update this.

    Wow. Very easy to use. Flip one side up. Jump on the hot tub and push it off the tub. Love it. And to pull it back on when leaving. Just grab it with one hand and pull it kn and jump out and flip the cover on.

    Only I would say. When the hot tub cover is off. The side with the cover . The cover seat foot and half above the the hot blocking your view in that direction

    Perfect for a small tub. I have a 6 person tub and I would hate to spend more $ on a better lifter for such a small cover.

    That said you have a 8+ person SPA this probably wont work with your big waterlogged cover.

    If this cover was marketed as a small/ medium cover lifter, it would without a doubt have a 5 star rating.

    People are not good at managing expectations and this lifter is no exception. Don't buy this lifter for your $10,000 84" hot tub. If you have an Innovaspa/ Rotospa/ 4-6 person tub. This will work beautifully.

    Worth mentioning: If the outside walls of your SPA are not vertical, you will either need to eyeball placement or use a level as a reference. My tub walls are not vertical which meant I ended up having to screw the lifter into my deck since not enough of the flat part went under the SPA.

    Easy install. Works really well.
    Key to operation and avoiding bent rails: lift one half of the cover, THEN GET IN THE TUB, and THEN lift the remaining half to its resting position. Same when exiting the tub. From standing in your hot tub, pull the stored cover until it covers half the tub, exit the tub, then lift the other half to closed position.
    Trying to wrestle it to open or close the cover from outside the tub and from the side, will result in torqueing the rods and possibly bending them beyond repair.
