I was worried when i took this out of the box that it would not have the nice "warm white" glow when it was turned on as the lamp shad portion is really White, but once you have it charged and working it does have that nice soft warm white glow that has a hint of Yellow in its light and that was just what I was looking for, so Yes, it is like the photo's in the description. The size is not too big and also not too small and for the size of this lamp it does in fact cast a fair amount of light when at the brightest setting, even enough to light up a large 15ft by 12ft room. Now, not Super bright but enough to use ONLY this lamp and be able to see everything in that size of space.
When you get it you charge it full right away ( as all things chargeable you should at first ) so that can get the best use out of the battery life. It took a while to charge but I have had mine running now for well over 12 hours on the Maximum Brightness and still going, so the battery life is as description says as well!
I love the wood grain look to the lamp base. It actually looks pretty realistic. I am not a fan of the large black rubber cover portion that you are able to remove to charge it and also charge your phone if you needed as the lamp doubles as a power bank. I think it makes the lamp not look so appealing, but you can easily turn the lamp so that part is not showing. But i also do not like the big button that is clearly visible to turn the lamp on / off and to press to use the dimming feature. I think it takes away from the overall look of the lamp, but i did know it was there before i ordered it so I will not remove any stars for that. The button flashes a green light while charging, but do not worry, when you are using the lamp that little light does not come on and if you want to sleep with the light off, it can go completely dark with no annoying tiny lights.
I want to say that the lamp "shade" has that full White "plastic" sort of look to it when the lamp is not used, This is why when I first opened the lamp and took it out of the box I feared it would not have the night warm glow i wanted, but it does as i have said, but just be aware if you are using this lamp to match a particular Decor that it has that "plastic" look to it when the light is not activated. However, if you leave / use the lamp in a space where the background wall is either white or of a light color you will not notice this about the shade at all, as it sort of disappears into the background if that makes sense. But up against a darker wall it stands out more. It is a beautiful lamp however and can look very modern and "High-End" pending where you place/use it.
Overall a stunning mid-medium-small sized lamp with long lasting power. This lamp would be great for kids room, Hallway, Living room, Bathroom, outside on deck, camping and much more! I totally would recommend this lamp and for the present listed price at time of this review of $39.99 I think you get an amazing product for your money!
