4.5 Stars - Super Cute design - all functions work with no drift but no safety straps included
I absolutely LOVE the designs on these joycon controllers! I've tested and used these on my Nintendo OLED model switch. The connect to the console well and work in handheld mode, however I mostly play while docked so outside of testing the functionality quickly, the majority of the testing was in detached mode. The only downside I have with these joycons is that it is a reasonable expectation that these will be used in detached mode and it is a shame and oversight that these do not come with their own safety straps. After all, gameplay can become a little frenetic and it would be easy to let these fly. The joycons charged well, and I've used these joycons exclusively for over a week with over 8 hours gameplay over that time. I have not noticed any issues with joycon drift or any other issues in that time. Motion controls and rumble work and all other buttons function as intended. Overall, I would recommend these joycon controllers.
I got these because my joy cons we're constantly disconnecting, these seem to not disconnect as often and there's a quicker response time when they do, so I'm happy with that. They do have a loud click to them when you press some of the buttons and they seem to drain more battery than the Nintendo brand joycons do though. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with these especially because they were on sale when I got them.

A decent pair of third party Joy-Cons. I like the fun "Mario" themed wrap they have. The buttons have a nice click to them, though felt like they might be a little less responsive than official Joy-Cons. Remains to be seen if stick drift will become an issue, but on the whole these feel like a good option as opposed to first-party version

Terrible quality. Disconnected too frequently to even enjoy a game. They vibrate like they’re full of angry bees, buttons are not responsive at all. Would have been better off spending the money on an authentic set. Save your money, don’t ruin family game night with these.

Joycons are expensive. Anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch knows that Nintendo overcharges for their peripherals and accessories. For comparison, Playstation will charge $85 for a new Dualsense controller which has significantly superior hardware inside. Xbox will charge even less than that for an Xbox controller that is not only compatible with yout Xbox but your PC as well. Nintendo wants $100 for a pair of Joycons that just don't last. Enter third party accessory manufacturers. Sure, they're not Nintendo branded but they are a fraction of the cost, last just as long as their counterparts as far as durability and battery life go, and they don't have any sort of stick drift. I will never buy a Nintendo branded Joycon set again. Buy these instead and send a clear message to Nintendo to stop gouging for their hardware.
