The remote control is handy and its claim to be effective from 50ft away holds true. When you change settings, they all respond instantly and in sync. If you want each to be set to a different color, you will have to set them individually and just leave them like that. Because these are solar powered, snow or tall grass or shade will affect them differently, but that comes with being solar. Charging in-house, behind a window, will always be less effective than direct sunlight, so give them a couple of sunny days outside and they should be good to go. I chose a sunny location that doesn’t need mowing. If you consider all these points, and have a suitable location for them, I will recommendation them.
