I actually didn't buy these to use with my Switch, although I do admit the angled grip is really nice and I will likely end up using it over the official grip. I bought this kit because it had the big rectangular grip. I realized I could fit my phone in between (double sided tape, or I might get a second case and superglue it on) and play DS emulators with proper controls and with my phone in vertical orientation. It's very hard to find a mobile controller that lets you use your phone in vertical orientation, so this was my best bet and it works great! (hint hint - if any manufacturers are reading, please make a joycon grip or controller that lets you use a phone in vertical orientation!) Anyways - pics attached for normal configurations too. The rails are plastic, not metal like official rails, but frankly who cares? They are still pretty smooth. My only complaint in terms of comfort is there are no handles like the official grips, but as someone who grew up with the DS and 3DS, this is not a big deal for me. It sort of just feels like you are using the original 2DS or the Switch in handheld mode. PS. if you happen to be a maker looking for some pre-made rails to build a custom grip, the detached rails are pretty trivial to take apart and remove the SL/SR buttons from, after which you can sand the plastic down and superglue to whatever frame you want. I might do that sometime, as my attempts to 3D print joycon rails always had issues with the tolerances causing the rails to be very stiff and gritty. These are a lot better. Note that there are no rails to remove from the other 3 grips, they are formed from two pieces of plastic with half of the rail on each part, so you cant just take the rail itself (without cutting and gluing the plastic, at least).

    These work awesome. in some cases i actually prefer these to the original nintendo grip. its a little harder to slide the joycons in some of them, but it's not a big deal. i also like how it fits third party joycons that normally don't fit in my original nintendo grip. the wrist straps are ok too. buttons aren't as nice and responsive as the originals but they work fine.

    I recently bought a 3 piece case for my Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the case protecting the joycons don't fit the original joycon dock. I found these to be good replacements. The items feel solid, and the finish of the product looks like original items from Nintendo.

    There is an issue however when you use it. I'm not sure I noticed this with the original joycon dock though.

    When you haven't used the joycons for a while, they go on sleep mode using this product. The connection is lost and you have to reconnect the controllers again to your switch by pressing the L + R buttons. Kind of a hassle and I worry it might cause battery drain faster.

    I'm currently using them and will monitor if this continues and if it has a negative effect on my console.
