Wonderful depiction of the evolution of a successful singer and entertainer. Really enjoyed this as well as the songs, some that I had never heard before.

This is a great biography of the elusive Bob Dylan. Though there are some inaccuracies but Timothy gives us a remarkable portrayal of Bob Dylan. His vocals are very close to Dylan"s as are his mannerisms . As a Bob Dylan fan since
1964, who has seen him in concert 13 times, I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly captures the essence and flavor of the 1960’s music scene.

I lived through these times. Bob Dylan was my “Elvis.” He and the Beatles serenaded and enriched my high school years, giving me a sense of balance and optimism in the face of assassinations, atomic bomb MAD drills culminating in the almost-apocalypse of the Cuban nuclear standoff (incredibly scary stuff needing deep melodic relief), racial conflict, and feminine outrage. To be a great singer of a whole generation, the artist must be the right person in the right place with the right stuff. The enigmatic, brilliant wordsmith and performer Bob Dylan was just such a person. His essence captured magically by Timothee Chalamet, his performance certainly merited a Best Actor Academy Award. But those things are subjective versus equally magnificence competition each year, though in my heart “A Complete Unknown” has both Best Picture and Best Actor Oscars. This picture is not just an artistic rendering of a slice of chaotic musical history but a reflection of the real angst and hope of a whole generation of young people, connecting to the rich folk song history and projecting into the deep rock of the looming future. At its root, this is a powerful emotional connection to our roots and our possibilities. Viewed on a wall screen projected in 4K with full surround sound turned up, the experience is immersive and lasting. For those too young to remember the ‘60s this is a fascinating and moving eye-opener, accurately reflecting the peril and grandeur of ever-present personal and global existential crises. To all those involved in this magical production, I have only one word: “Bravo!”

This film was such a treat when I saw it for the first time in the theatre. Chalamet Barbosa and Norton brought to life amazing performances. It took 5 years for Chalamet and Barbosa to learn to play guitar in the styles of Dylan and Baez and to me they did not disappoint. Their acting was superb as well. This movie put me right in the middle of 1961-65 and what a great ride it was. I am so glad they included the music that set the tone of this time and not ignore it in order to move the movie along.
The 4K was sharp and well made. I enjoyed this movie so much. I hope people who watch this film enjoy it as much as I did.
