Overall these Crayola Color Wonder Mess Free coloring pads are great, especially since the pack came with a few markers. I build my collection of mess free markers by buying these coloring book set. For a parent with a 16 months old, knowing you can "trust" her for a moment when you go get something done around the house is amazing, knowing there won't be marks all over the walls & furnitures. My daughter has tried to draw a few lines on our grey leather couch and it was fine. You can see transparent lines when it's wet, but when I came back to wipe, the lines were already dry and have disappeared :) The pages are also perforated so you can easily tear a page from the pad. They are however a bit expensive... with only 18 pages to color... she can definitely go through the whole pad in a few days if I let her.. Haha. But I try to save these for times when I cannot sit next to her. For any toddler under 3 who will still try to eat everything and anything.. I would remove the caps and take them with you before you leave her with the markers. Otherwise there's a chance the cap will be swallowed. I would also keep an eye on her here and there to make sure she's not sucking in the markers. Please note that the markers color do NOT match what's on the cover... I got dark blue and light purple instead of red and light blue. I got a replacement but the color still do not match. I just left it at that point as it seems like this whole batch were packaged with wrong colors. Part of the reason why I got this set was for the red marker, but oh well. This is a great invention overall. For us parents who sometimes just need to a few minutes to get stuff done.

And the technology has improved over the years, I recall it not working as well when my teenagers were small children. I do wish they were loose pages or at least perforated rather than a book. I would have given 5 stars. I had to pull the book apart and clean up the edges with a paper cutter so I could limit the toddler to 1-2 pages a day rather than have him scribble a little on each page and think he’s ‘done’. Also with loose pages more than 1 person can colour at a time.

    These are great! no more mess and my toddler loves them. Only minor issue with them is the ink has a slight delay to appear compared to regular markers, but my toddler doesn't seem to mind. Would recommend!
