I was really excited for this as I was planning to add this to my picnic kit, but unfortunately it's not very good quality.
There isn't any instructions for the grinder so if it is adjustable or can be taken apart for cleaning, I guess we'll never know.
It also doesn't have the grinding gears centered properly so there is no way the grind would be consistent and it has a crunching noise that is not great to listen to.
The glass mug is pretty nice looking, but the "leather" sleeve is pretty much impossible to put on.
The case is nice, but its definitely designed more for presentation than actual storage or transportation as the items shift around inside quite a bit and it's very plastic-y

This set exemplifies the idea of form over function. On the one hand, it is a really beautiful set. The weaving and the design of the case is really quite pretty… and to be honest, I have repurposed it for other things, such as part of a quirky display for wedding seating cards. In fact, given the size and craftsmanship of the case, I’d say that a good portion of the set's value is worth it due to the quality and aesthetic of the case alone.

The other components of this set, however, leave a little more to be desired. The grinder works, but even though in theory you can control the size of the grind, in reality the size is less consistent than what I’ve seen in my little dinky electrical grinder. I’m not too mad at this, though, because like I said, it still works -- and I’m not enough of a coffee aficionado that I can tell the difference in taste, anyway. The drawer in my set is pretty nicely crafted -- there’s no shakiness or weird gapping, and it slides out easily enough.

I do like the little glass and the straw -- it’s just the right size. I did NOT like the sleeve -- it was difficult to put on and take off for cleaning, and ultimately, I actually broke it a little (splitting the seam). Luckily, I did have some extra pieces of scrap leather, and by tracing the BOTTOM lateral surface of the mug (rather than the top), I was able to fashion a suitable working sleeve.

Overall, it’s a nice presentation and a cute gift. I mean, if you’re a serious coffee expert, I’d maybe pass on this. On the other hand, if you’re just getting it for the aesthetics it provides your kitchen, or if you need a budget friendly Secret Santa gift for a coffee-loving coworker that you’re on OK terms with, then get this set.
