My cleaning opinion: Even though it is dishwasher safe, I would suggest that this, and other glass coffee pots are NOT cleaned regularly in a dishwasher. I believe my original Ninja coffee pot became fragile gradually over the ~1000 times it was in my dishwasher after daily use. Long washes at a high temperature are not necessary; and I think that washing by hand is more than enough and will extend the usage of the pot.
