    I know, the critics were meh about it way back when it first came out but, really, most critics are meh about any comedy. This has some juvenile humour and some wickedly sharp humour and running gags plus MADELINE KAHN! And Tim Curry at his best. This is a dream cast at the top of their game. They play it straight- no mugging, chewing the scenery, going over the top or treading on each other’s lines.
    Loosen up and enjoy it, this isn’t reality, it’s comedy.
    I bought this as a present for my sister who has never seen it! It wasn’t easy to track down but, of course, 鶹 has it. I was on my way back to the coast when it appeared at her front door…I love being able to surprise friends and family like that.
    P.s. beware, there is another version on the site with a cast of teenagers. I’m sure it’s fine but not the movie I was looking for.

    This is such a great movie! I watched it a lot as a kid and was worried it would be one of those movies I'd watch once or twice through the year, but hardly touch. I've already watched it at least ten times since buying it a couple months back. It has such an amazing cast - they bring the script to life so well. Truly one of those timeless classics.
    The only downer is there are no special features. The movie itself is fantastic!
