I was scared to buy this kit for the price. I am relatively new to knitting and have fallen in love with the hobby but I found it irritating that I didn't seem to have the right needle gauge or length of line that I desired for my next project. I bought this kit even though some consumers reported the needles had slowly unconnected themselves from the line mid-knitting project. I did NOT have this problem at all. The product is great value and great quality!!! The yarn has not snagged on either connection site and the needles have not budged at all. I made sure I screwed them on straight and tightly. I am so happy with this purchase!! I think it might be my favorite yet and I buy something from Â鶹Çø every day. Time to go, I have knitting to do.

    As a beginner knitter, I was hesitant to buy this item because the cost of them was so tremendously high... I had been eyeing the cheaper no-name versions of them but was skeptical and was extremely pleased that I decided to buy this product!

    I first started knitting with long metal straight needles, so adjusting to these were a challenge at first. I was worried that these wooden needles would be too short and also would have too much resistance when sliding off the stitches. As someone with rather small hands, I found the needles to just fit nicely in my hands. Unlike metal needles, there is some resistance when sliding off the stitches but not dramatically so! I'm happy to report that this has caused me to drop no stitches in comparison to metal needles which made me drop at least one stitch every round...

    The plastic cords seem nicely built. They are thin (so that they would fit the thinnest needle) but they are flexible and don't crease. I found that they do screw on quite nicely and snuggly. I have not had an instance where they came apart from my needles.

    The casing for the needles are nice, however, I found that the elastic that is holding down the needles to be too tight. I had to pry the needles out of the elastic holder which left a mark on the casing. Overall, I don't mind at all. The case does it's job; holding and protecting the needles.

    Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. Yes it is superbly pricey, but think about it as an investment for the long run.

    I did so much research before deciding on this set and so far I am really happy with my choice! I think you get amazing value. So far I really enjoy working with these needles; they are super smooth, no snagging at the joint, the cable rotates which avoids having to untwist your work, and the needles have a long tapered, nicely pointed tip, great for those SSKs!     This my first 'nice' set of needles, so it's a huge step up from the cheap ones I'd been using before. Very smooth, sturdy, and the nylon chord is great: it swivels, doesn't kink easily, and is reinforced at the base so it can take quite a bit of strain and bending at the point where it connects to the needle.

    A couple complaints: The yarn doesn't pass smoothly over the metal in the smallest needle sizes. They do unscrew themselves sometimes, and the kit doesn't include any tools to tighten them. However, as I got used to using them, this happens much less. Also, this set does not include many accessories that most other kits include standard, such as cord stoppers & connectors. Those are sold separately here on Â鶹Çø and are VERY overpriced, so expect to pay $12 for EACH pair of stoppers, and pair of connectors that you get. Additional cables are $8¨C$9 each. This is also the brand sold at Michael's craft store, but don't expect the accessories to be any cheaper there.

    The smallest size is 3.25mm, so the kit doesn't include very thin needles that would be suitable for much lace and socks. I eventually got a set of ChiaoGoo steel interchangeables, which range from 1.5 ¨C 2.5 mm and are thus a great compliment to this set.

    They're good quality needles and you can't really go wrong with them. That said, I can't particularly recommend them over other sets, as I haven't tried any other wooden interchangeable sets. There is some room for improvement here, so you might be better off trying a different set.

    These are incredible, and although the set feels more expensive to purchase it is a bargain compared to buying circular needles individually. I have purchased other needles with a rubbery tube as the cord, but they pull on yarn and make it harder to knit. These are smooth hard yet flexible plastic, and make passing the yarn over the cord fluid. If you¡¯re torn between two options, pick the Takumi Combo, you won¡¯t regret it!

    I cannot give this any higher rating because this is overpriced for what you get. At first it was great but then I realized I needed to get a connector to extend the cable and stoppers which allow you to use them as single pointed needles. The price for these two tiny things was also ridiculous. These needles annoy me when used as single pointed needles because of the cord twisting. It just does not keep straight for a while. They annoy me when used as circular needles because they do screw off... in middle of my knitting, cable disconnects from the needle point.
