How to use:
1. Loosen the outer screw, lay flat the inside hoop, put the cloth on the hoop, then put the outer hoop on the inside hoop.
2. Flat the cloth and tighten the screw.
3. Continue to flat the cloth to ensure there are no pleats, and pay attention to fabric to make the warp and the welt both vertical and horizontal, and finally tighten the screws.
4. Inspect the hoop whether it is tight enough. The way to check the tightness is to use a needle with thread going through the fabric surface. It is workable if there is a bang bang sound when pulling the thread.

The hoops are as sturdy as they need to be. I've found over time, embroidery hoops may lose their shape, the wood may dry out and crack, and that happens to them all regardless of seller or brand or anything else. However, it is nice that I was able to replace a variety of sizes at once. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

These were much cheaper here, than at Michael's etc. They work well. I don't intend to use them for very long; as in I will use them as a frame once I complete the project in them.

I think normally, you'd keep using your hoops over and over as you make new projects. Not sure if these would stand up to repeated use or not.

I was worried these may be splintery but they are fine.

The metal isn't 100% strong though which is why I'm deducting one start. I guess I'm stronger than I thought because in an effort to tighten the hoop, I caused the metal to bend :)
