I bought this to wear in the summer, since I like hats and I figured I would find one to keep sun out of my eyes and face.

It is made of a wool/felt material which is nice quality, it has a wire sewn into the brim to keep it stiff, and it has a discreet tie band on the inside of the hat to keep it more secure on your head if you need it.

It looks quite nice, very stylish and modern. It's a bit too cold here in Canada to wear it yet (early spring), but I am excited about the prospect of wearing it this coming summer!

Now this is my everyday hat. The quality now is somewhere between authentic and high quality costume. Definitely worth the money. 10/10 wud buy again.

I want to LOVE this hat with everything that I am however I do find that the hat itself is rather shallow. I wear the hat perched on the back of my head 2(ish) inches behind my hairline and yes, I always intended to wear the hat this way, it has nothing to do with the depth. Granted my head is large so I find that hats can be hit or miss and I have to do a lot of shopping around for appropriate hats but what strikes me as very odd here is that the hat fits perfectly well in circumference (22-23 inches) but the issue is still the DEPTH and the role it plays in ensuring that your hat is secure.

PROS; the hat came in great condition, it was packaged appropriately for shipping and arrived with no dents, scratches, tears or loose threads.

CONS; the hat is shallow and mine did not have exposed strings inside of the sweatband that would allow me to tighten the hat to help anchor to my head. Closer to in quality to a high quality costume piece due to the materials but will serve my purposes as a piece for occasional wear.

THINGS TO NOTE; The hat is a poly-blend which is A-OK for me the is material polyethylene terephthalate, or PET plastic. I did the same thing I do with most hats and attached a strip of velvet ribbon running the circumference of the sweatband [for those not in the know, velvet will grip onto your hair without tugging/pulling and help prevent your hat from taking off on you] I also attached two pieces to the crown of the hat in an X as I wear the hat perched on the back of my head. The velvet ribbon inside the crown acts as a secondary security to ensure that the hat doesn't slide up or down but remains where I placed it on my head.

05/20: I had to spot clean my hat and it held up well, no discolouration, blasted it with my blowdryer on the “cool” setting to ensure there was no warping from letting it dry in its own. I did note the texture in that one spot that I cleaned now feels slightly different.
