Easy To Apply And Looks Promising For Preventing Bird Strikes

These window decals for preventing bird strikes are a great value. You get 90 pieces, and they’re all mid-sized circles that you peel off from sheets and stick directly onto a clean window or glass surface. I used water to clean the glass before applying, and they stuck really well. After placing each one, I used a cloth to flatten it and make sure it adhered fully, but I didn’t have any real issues with them sticking.

I put these up on the glass barrier of my top-floor balcony. I’ve had birds hit the glass before, which is always heartbreaking to witness. I’ve tried other decals in the past, so I’m really hoping these work better. I did notice that when the sun hits the decals, they reflect light and create a sort of prism effect. From certain angles, they even look a bit 3D, which I think will help alert the birds not to fly into the glass.

So far, they look good and seem effective. Time will tell, but the application was easy, and the price was great for how many you get.

I do care about the birds, but since our windows have grids I feel that it less likely that a bird will crash into our windows. I sought out these decals to provide a unique way to filter out some sunlight while still getting natural light and also providing privacy since this is a third story bathroom window. These decals accomplish all of that. The size of each decal is small (around 2" in diameter) and looks elegant and not gaudy. The decals can be easily moved and reapplied to another part of the window without leaving any residue behind or damaging the decal. I am a perfectionist and moved at least half of these decals to get the placement the way I wanted. This was a perfect privacy option that still lets me see out the window when desired. To achieve this look, I used over 80 of the decals because I still applied them under the valance for consistency from looking at the window from outside of our home. This was a great tool to accomplish a few goals - light filtering, privacy, and decoration.

The vinyl is a dichroic "rainbow" effect which can be a pretty unexpected effect in addition to helping the birds see that your window is a solid object. After installing window clings, the number of bird strikes that we experienced went down significantly.

Window clings are most effective when they are applied to the exterior side of the window glass rather than the inside. However, on the outside, they are subject to weather elements as well as window washing/cleaning. This can cause the clings to lose their static cling and peel off over time. They usually last about 1 year but do need replacing or refreshing from time to time. I got this new set of window clings specifically to replace old ones.

All of the clings in this set of 90 are the same exact size. Other sets I've gotten have been various sizes including ring shapes. These will put more of a "polka dot" pattern on my windows which is less desirable. For this reason, I took off one star from the rating.

The vinyl seems to be of good quality and I expect these clings to last about a year. If they do not, I will update this review accordingly.

At $10 for a set of 90 clings, this is a great value.

Although we have had a periodic bird crash into our windows it is not a regular occasion. I got them for the rainbow prism effect they leave in my house and office. The rainbows all over your walls, floors, furniture, etc., are wonderful and actually make people happy and the kids love them! These clings are super easy to put on and take off. If you put them into a zip-lock bag when you are finished with them, you can easily save them to use again. There are 90 pieces which is a lot. I share them to some of my co-worker who sometimes put them up at the office or may take them home for bird strike protection. If you want something that is super pretty, and has a functional purposes by preventing bird window strikes, this is it!

We love our birds and hate to see them get hurt. We have large windows to peer at them but they are also a bird hazard. We considered installing paracord lines on the outside (saw it while searching for a solution) but we didn’t want to disrupt the view. We heard about holographic stickers and thought it was worth trying. We’ve used holographic stickers for a few months now and they seem to work well. We’ve only had 1 bird strike since we put them on and that’s a huge improvement. The stickers are non permanent and can be easily removed, so much so our cat loves to jump and pull them off. We’re happy she found a new game that brings her joy. We’re happy will keep replacing them cause they are very affordable and effective.
