- Reviewed in Canada on April 14, 2025Verified PurchaseI love this little guy. I didn't need or want a full laptop as I have a desktop, but needed something for when I'm on the go. I've never owned a tablet, and I've always been apprehensive to the idea, but I couldn't argue with the price. I've owned this for 6 months now and I use the tablet function more than I ever expected. It's nice and quick and exactly what I needed, good battery life and charges quick. The only thing that's a bit frustrating is the stylus seems to die every now and then out of nowhere, and I use it often, but it also charges quickly.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 21, 2024Verified PurchaseI can't really give an overall review yet, as I only charged it and set up the basics. I had to buy my kid this for grade 4 as it's on his school supply list. The one negative thing I will say is it was set up in French, so I guess it's a good thing I took French until gr. 9 or the avg Joe would've probably struggled to get it back to English. Also, idk if it's me being a GenX and not being able to figure out how to switch time zones... but even going into the time zone, I can't switch it out of EST. This will for surely mess with my kiddo at school as he struggles with a few learning disabilities and relies on clocks and timers.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 22, 2025Verified PurchaseWhat an excellent purchase. If you're just looking for browsing, email and google suite productivity (or similar web based tools) while having a tablet experience with detachable keyboard and pen, then this thing at 300 Canadian dollars is one of my best ever purchases ...
Cons: a little thick, standard limitations of chromeOS and lack of support for many apps on chromeOS (this applies to all Chromebooks not just this machine)

- Reviewed in Canada on October 10, 2024Verified PurchaseArrived and was excited to open it up. Immediate findings:
1. It's much heavier and thicker than a regular tablet. I was expecting more of a 10" android or iOS feel.
2. Initial setup allowed me to just transfer my accounts from my Android phone during setup!
3. But it froze on a blank screen. Had to hard reset to start again.
4. Upon restart it no longer had the option to transfer account from phone, and had to log in manually
5. Then setup stalled after adding my Google account showing a spinning circle for 10min before shutting off.
The keyboard it came with is a French Canada version that has a lot of extra coded characters throughout and due to that it does not behave like a Eng-US or Eng-CA keyboard. Example: To get a "@" character you need to use the ALT GR button to the right of the spacebar and the 2 key... not the SHIFT 2 you'd normally be used to.
This will drive me mad, so based on the keyboard alone I'll have to return it.
But the setup that never finished really makes it unusable since I could not even get passed the setup screen!

- Reviewed in Canada on August 24, 2024Verified PurchaseFor the price you absolutely can't go wrong here. Build quality is great, the display is incredible for the price, and the battery is superb. I've been using it fairly heavily each night for the past 5 days on a single charge (it's at about 15% now). As a tablet it's the perfect size/weight, and while the bezels are big they're nice to hold onto when using so you're not accidentally touching the screen. Snapping the keyboard and back cover on takes ~2 seconds, and you've got a mini laptop as well complete with carrying case. The stylus included is just a bonus. Really great purchase, highly recommended!
Friendly tip, when watching videos on a streaming service (Disney+, Netflix, etc.) watch them in the Chrome browser instead of the dedicated apps. They run better in the browser.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 13, 2024Verified PurchaseThis "Chromebook" which is really a chromium product not an actual chromebook according to the stickers on the back, which actually means that it is a Chromium Tablet, which can go into desktop mode to be used as a chromebook.
Boasts big specs for something that is just a tablet/chromium computer, but does not have the capabilities to utilize them. Gaming was a non starter, the tablet got far to hot within only a few minutes for the games that would play off of a cloud on Nvidia's NOW, or 鶹 Luma. Was unable to really get any google play game going well on it without freezing up a lot, over heating and draining the battery much faster then expected considering the large 2K touch screen which would run a lot of power consumption on its own.
The tablet is well made I will give it that, but the stylus that comes with it dies in about 15 minutes of use, charging fast yes but annoying when the tablet is advertised as a drawing tablet alternative if you chose to doodle. Incompatible with USI pens/stylus's. Unable to upgrade to ChromeOS PLUS for real game, art or productivity usage.
Comes in bilingual English / Canadian French packaging, starts up in Canadian French which you have to change to English to continue, always defaults back to Canadian French no matter how many times you set the prefered language and secondary options if any, and delete all others. With a Canadian French Bilingual layout for keyboard.
The "detachable" keyboard comes detached quite often even when being careful on a flat surface, changing the device from desktop mode into tablet mode which is quite annoying to deal with. There is no way to force the device into one mode or the other, so this is a very annoying issue to deal with.
Trying to return at the moment is a bit of a hassle, you are at first expected to deal with Canada Post which is on strike at the worst possible time of the year, but after getting ahold of customer service (quite a pain to get past the auto redirects back to my already in progress return, or the chat bot that is not helpful) they assure that while you have to pay up front to return the product, they will indeed refund you the cost of return no matter which service you use to send the item back.
All in all, it's an okay product, very well made, a bit heavy but I take that as a good sign, if you are lucky enough to grab one from say BestBuy refurbished for only $150, but otherwise I do recommend to avoid this product unless you see it on sale for around that $150, not worth it at the current sale price, and very much not worth it at full price. Will try to remember to update my review if I do indeed get the item returned, and reimbursed the cost of shipping it to them.
