Being gentle when pressing down will make the cherry pitter last a long time. This is my second one. The first one broke by using excess force when pressing down the arm. Remember the unit is plastic. I pitted at least 1000 + cherries with the second one with no issues.

Worked pretty well - definitely make sure it actually removed all the pits, it's not 100% but it's still faster than doing it one at a time by hand.
They plastic on the tray that comes out broke easily but didn't prevent it from working. Hence the lower star rating. If it didn't break within the 1st 10 mins of using I'd give it 5 stars
