Basket pieces don’t fit well
This was nearly impossible to assemble - the red basket comes in two pieces that were not on alignment when you piece them together. My boyfriend tried to bend them into shape to fit. He got it close enough after quite some futzing with it. I didn’t have the patience. It’s a cool idea, just poorly executed. It’s the end of apple /fruit season so we’ll have to wait til summer cherries to try it, and next fall for apples. But it’s a great way to reach them, and get them down without needing to climb. The little rake part pulls the stems, and the sponge keeps them from getting bruised as they land in the basket. It’s a cheaply made tool, but it also only costs 11$. Worth what you pay for it. Though it really needs to fit/be easier to assemble.

    I received this and was excited to use it on our plum tree which grew very tall this year. Installing and combining all parts was easy, despite there being no instructions manual at all. It comes in a decent length, the three metal parts for the stick are strong, and it came with one metal clamp only, in the pictures provided there were two. This metal "hose-like" clamp is a very bad quality clamp, it didn't hold the basket at all and kept on getting out when I used it to pull the fruits. I tried to tighten it but the head of the screw in the clamp was shaved right away. Luckily I had some extra clamps from an old garden project, I used two of them and it worked well after. Although the stick is sturdy, the basket is not sturdy at all, it comes in two parts that should be attached using the clamp, the two parts don't align with each other which makes the basket not sturdy. It is still usable but not as strong as I wished, not sure how well it will work for bigger fruits

    This is a defect product as it's not fitting properly to the rod. So when we try to pick the fruits , this tips falls apart from the rod.
    Its not good for small fruits as this may fall through the

    Brought it for my yearly apple-picking outing and it definitely helped me reach the big juicy apples left at the tops of the trees that other people couldn't reach! Great for taking to a popular picking spot where the lower branches are usually stripped bare. I got a lot of comments from other pickers about how smart the device is and questions about where I got it.

    On the negative side, it's a bit tricky to get the hang of. It can be tough to get the prongs around an apple without just stabbing the apple. Additionally, the plastic portion where the basket attaches to the pole tends to slip out and leave the basket hanging from the tree. I felt I tightened the metal strap really well, but it still slipped out when trying to pull apples down, and then we had to "pick" the basket with the bare pole to get it back.

    We have an apple tree in our yard that while not too large, is large enough to be a pain when it comes to picking. No more! This simple gadget makes it so easy to pick the tree, without getting scratched up. It comes together and tears down easily, and comes with a little bag to hold all the parts in when you're done. So great!
