Nothing remotely healthy for you tastes this good, so I wouldn't recommend a daily dose of Ravioli. But once a week or so? Yes, please. It still has that same flavour that you will remember from your youth, and it's quick/inexpensive to get a reasonably decent meal out of one can.

Nothing wrong with this product, the flavor is great. Problem is with packing. Some cans came dented because this case of cans was packed with another case of heavier cans with not enough packing materials in between the cases to stop movement. The weight limit was also over limits of what postal carriers are permitted to lift, therefore it could not be delivered directly to my door & I needed to pay someone to pick it up. I'm a senior & couldn't place the package in my house so it had to be carried in by a much stronger person than myself.

I must be one of the few people in Canada who never ate Chef Boyardee Ravioli (or anything else from Chef Boyardee ) when I was growing up, or anytime before now. I saw that there was a 8-tin package for what sounded like a reasonable price, so I decided to give it a try. I f I found it not to my liking, I could always add it to the Food Bank donation.
I'm not sure why - probably hearing other people talk about it - but I expected that the cans would have a pull-tab "easy open" top, and be somewhat larger - more toward the 540 ml size of Chunky Soup tins. But, it came in regular cans which require a can opener, and not as large as I'd thought. OK. It is what it is.
I opened up a can one day when I was feeling especially _not_ like cooking, dumped the contents into a microwaveable dish with a lid, and nuked it for about 3:15 - 3:20 on "High." This was more than adequate - it came out steaming hot. It had a pleasant tomato-ish aroma, and the pasta pockets had not disintegrated. Then came the taste test.
I'm not sure what I was expecting. But the flavour is about as bland as any tomato/pasta sauce concoction I've ever eaten. It wasn't terrible, it was't strongly spiced - it wasn't really much of anything except a mild tomato flavour. I ate half of it, then added a few drops of Habanero sauce to the other half and mixed it in, which was a vast improvement.
I can't find any fault with the product, beyond it being quite bland. The texture is OK - not outstanding, but OK. Preparation could hardly be simpler - open a can, heat and eat. I tried a 2nd tin a few days later, and found that grating a bit of cheddar cheese over the warmed pasta and sauce added to its character and flavour; likewise a little bit of pepper sauce, whether hot Habanero or mild "Green" chili sauce. It's one meal, with a couple of slices of bread, but no more. I'd say it would be an ideal thing to have a few of on hand in case groceries are getting low and getting out to shop immediately is not possible. "Emergency Rations" as a friend calls it.
I did not find any hints of a metallic tang, or any kind of aftertaste, as some reviews have complained. Like most canned tomato products, I would not leave this sitting for too long - check the best-before dates and rotate. It's edible, although bland. The flavour can be improved according to your personal taste. I wouldn't want to have to live on it breakfast, lunch and supper, but it's OK as a quick meal in a pinch. There are really no strong flavours, which is probably why we never had it when I was a child long ago - my mother was an expert when it came to making spaghetti sauce. I didn't look up the nutritional chart for this product, but it's tomato sauce, some pasta, and a small amount of ground meat (I don't think its soy) plus a whole bunch of odd ingredients listed in fine print.
