Common sense should dictate that in most cases, a charging "dock" which requires two pieces to fit perfectly together (see definition for docking) won't work with a case, which obviously changes the form factor of the device. Docking stations are not typically designed to work with a case unless also proprietary.
That being said, the docking station is amazing if you use it properly (without a case)

Monatelang war die Ladestation von PowerA in Deutschland nicht verfügbar, im Februar 2025 war sie dann über 鶹 plötzlich bestellbar und nach "nur" 3 Wochen Lieferzeit ist sie jetzt auch angekommen.TLDas lange Warten hat sich gelohnt!

In der Zwischenzeit hatte ich bereits zwei andere Ladestationen bestellt, die mich jedoch nicht überzeugen konnten.
Die "Auarte Tragbare Ladestation" für unter 20 Euro wirkte einfach zu klapprig und überhaupt nicht wertig. Es war auch schwer, auf Anhieb die Portal drauf zu platzieren. Zudem ließ sich die kleine helle blaue LED nicht abschalten, was im dunklen Heimkino mächtig nervt.
Die große "Mcbazel Ladestation" für etwas über 20 Euro sah super aus, stand sicher, hat zuverlässig geladen und eine besonders einfache Positionierung der Portal war aufgrund der großen Basis möglich. Blöd nur, dass sie ein hochfrequentes Pfeifen von sich gegeben hat, sobald die Portal voll geladen war. Durchaus in 2-3 m Entfernung auf der Couch hörbar und damit nicht tragbar.
Diese Ladestation von PowerA steht sehr fest und ist solide verarbeitet, die Platzierung der Portal geht gut (wobei es ziemlich schwer ist, den USB Adapter wieder zu entfernen, fall man doch mal mit Kabel laden muss) und es pfeift nichts. Farblich gleicher grau-weiß-Ton wie die Portal. Die LED-Beleuchtung ist meiner Meinung nach überflüssiger Spielkram und stört in dunkler Umgebung, lässt sich aber erfreulicherweise komplett ausschalten. Die Ladestation flackert dann nur dreimal kurz orange beim Reinstellen und blau, um zu signalisieren, dass die Portal voll geladen ist, danach geht das Licht wieder aus.
Alternativ kann man das Licht auf orange-pulsierend beim Laden bzw. dann dauerhaft blau bei vollständiger Ladung stellen oder drei verschiedene Farbwechsel-Leuchtmodi (Cycle, Wave, Pulse) aktivieren.
Dass kein Case passt ist für mich persönlich kein Nachteil, da ich keines nutze.
