I got this to support a J 1772 extension cord and it works flawlessly. It is well-made, and mounted easily to my garage wall using my own screws. I choose to use my own screws as I don't know the sheer strength of the ones included.

For $15 I feel it presents an excellent value, and is a great solution to coiling up a J 1772 cable.

Nothing fancy but it holds the charging cable securely. It does jiggle a little but but it's still clipped in securely so I don't see an issue.

My only minor gripe is the mounting screws are pre-inserted in the drywall anchors, which you don't necessarily need. But I don't think it's a big deal.

For $16 I think it does the job at a good value.

Very strong and very well-made, I’ve wrapped my 20 foot cord around it and I could probably put another 10 feet or so, just be sure where you do place it in a low traffic or no traffic area as the handle does stick out quite a bit from the wall. The charger clips on to the base to keep it attached and secured.

I'm using this for a 2024 Outlander PHEV. I find that the plug sticks somewhat in the socket holder and requires a few tries to get it out, just off enough to make it annoying. The hollow wall fasteners are too long for the screws provided and do not compress to hold it to the wall. Otherwise looks sturdy and will do the job.

If you don't have access to 3D printing, this is a solid alternative. It holds a J1772 plug just fine, but it's a little loose. It tends to jiggle around a little, and I'm always worried the J1772 plug will somehow get dislodged. It hasn't happened yet, but this little thing makes me a tad nervous. I've 3D-printed J1772 wall mounts, and there are alternative designs that are much more robust and solid in my opinion. On the topic of 3D printing, this looks like a solid piece of injection molded plastic of some sort, but it's pretty soft and it's not fiber-reinforced. I cut into it a bit to see how robust it is, and it was surprisingly easy to shave off a bit of the holder with a pocketknife.

Overall It works just fine, but I'm not expecting anything that's super-robust. I'm just using it to store a Tesla to J1772 adapter, and for my purposes I have no concerns. But I would prefer something a little more robust if you're using it to store a J1772 plug and cable outdoors.
