(2) These plastic snap fasteners are only suitable for fabrics with a thickness of less than 2mm, suitable for single or two-layer fabrics, not for multi-layer fabrics.

How to Use

Get everything prepared. For each snap, you need two caps, one socket and one stud.

Choose your spot to install the snap and stick your awl into your fabric to create a small hole.

Put the fabric between the cap and stud.

This kit came as photographed. I purchased it to make needle book closures and ended up using it on towels in the kitchen so they don't slip off the door handles! The key I've found is to not squeeze the pliers too hard - if you do, it breaks the snaps, so just apply enough pressure to get them to hold.

    Liked the colours, Disliked the flimsy nature of the poppers. In the pictures it showed them being used on different thicknesses of fabrics yet in the instructions it says can only be used through 1 layer of fabric, but no indication of the maximum thickness before they become ineffective. E.g 1 layer of towelling is thicker than 1 layer of linen. I guess it’s a ‘trial and error’ moment, which will waste the poppers.

    Leider waren zum einen schon mehrere der Knopfteile verbogen / zerdrückt, sodass sie nicht mehr genutzt werden konnten und zum anderen schließen die Knöpfen viel zu fest, als dass man sie für normal-dicke Stoffe verwenden kann, da dann der Stoff komplett einreißt. Für Leder passt das vermutlich, aber ich wollte die Knöpfe u. A. für einen Wickelpullover aus Baumwolle / Jersey-Stoff nutzen und da reißt bereits nach 2x Öffnen der Stoff um den Knopf herum komplett ein.
