- Reviewed in Canada on June 19, 2025Verified PurchaseI purchased this face wash a couple of weeks ago. So far I love this! I use it at bedtime every night. My face feels so soft and smooth. The little bumps on my skin are starting to go away. I have sensitive skin and I can say this hasn't made my skin dry or itchy. I have even offered it to my husband to use! As it isn't just women that need to was their face. lol
- Reviewed in Canada on February 13, 2025Verified PurchaseBeen a week now since I started using Cetaphil. I had really small bumps on my cheeks and chin, and I read that salicylic face wash is good for removing the clogged pores. It's been just a week; the face wash is really nice and light. I use hyaluronic acid after every wash as it's necessary; otherwise, the skin becomes too dry.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 27, 2025I really like this cleanser. It works for anywhere on the body not just the face, but it really is a nice one for cleaning my face every day. It leaves the skin very soft and refreshed, and there has never been any adverse reaction to it. The amount of product needed is average, not among the more efficient ones out there, and it is a little bit more liquid than creams. That said, the only downside I find to these is the fact that it isn't a very strong cleaner in terms of cutting grease or sebum. If those situations you do need to do multiple washes, but I think the best way is to use a different face cleanser for that, and resume using this one afterwards or on the next use.
Still, for the amount you get for the price, this is a lovely product. It works great as a daily cleanser that rotates well with other, stronger cleansers when you need the extra degreasing power.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 14, 2025Verified PurchaseI was using Cerave and tried this. I prefer Cerave.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 12, 2025I was looking for a face cleanser that wouldn't be overly drying during the winter months. This is a gel-like consistency that also contains a mixture of AHAs and BHAs, as well as PHAs, all meant to exfoliate, cleanse, and smooth your facial skin. The ingredients list looked fine to me, so I gave it a whirl. Unfortunately, it didn't quite manage to do the trick without drying out my face. I ended up having to moisturize a bit more than usual. That being said, it seemed to do a great job of cleansing my face, including any light make-up I had on. I could definitely see myself using this more once the cold, dry winter weather subsides, as it does feel really nice when you're using it.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 15, 2025I tried both the Gentle Exfoliating SA Cleanser and Lightweight moisturizer so will talk about the experience with both.
Like most Cetaphil products, these come in generous sized bottles with a pump. The pump size is a little smaller than on my previous bottles but the amount pumped seems around the same. The shorter pump seems to make the bottle a little steadier too as I broke a pump on a previous bottle knocking it over.
The cleanser is a clear medium thickness formula, it doesn’t foam a lot and rinses well. It does have some natural scent from the ingredients but is not fragranced. So like most unfragranced products without a masking scent, not a super pleasant smell but not terrible either. On the first use, this did make my combination skin feel a little tight but it seemed to just be my skin getting used to the change as it was fine in later uses.
The moisturizer is a medium to thick white lotion formula, not quite a cream. It smells a little better than the cleanser and my skin had no issues adjusting to it.
My skin likes to take combination as a challenge and right now my cheeks are very dry and my t-zone quite oily in comparison. I had a rough area on one cheek that cleared up in a couple of days of using this for my morning routine and my usual nighttime skincare. My t-zone in comparison is less shiny and doesn’t feel as oily, yet it didn’t dry out the less oily areas of my skin. So am happy with this combo.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 7, 2025This works wonders on my face, keeps my skin looking good.
It's nice and lightweight. The exfoliating, it's more like micro exfoliating.. There aren't any large granules or anything like that typically uses in most exfoliating products, but those can be full of irritants and microplastics.. This works on a smaller level and as a result is way more gentle.
It foams up quite nicely as well once applied to a wet face. Rinses off relatively easily as well. Just keep it away from your eyes, and your mouth as well, it doesn't taste good.
But in the end it works great to clean my pores and also not irritate my skin, which can be VERY sensitive in the winter. The tip of my nose is near raw in winter like right now, but even right now this cleanser doesn't irritate my skin even on the thinnest spot on my nose.
Would give this an extra star if I could!
