Two years on and still tickin
I bought this watch two years ago and its still ticking on the original battery. Hold the date well, though it takes about four hours to change in the morning, but thats normally before Im awake anyways. Maybe not great for someone working the midnight shift. I work construction and this watch takes a regular beating but stays on time, no issues. After two years of daily wear, I finally broke the band that holds the end of the strap. I just threw a Ty-rap on it and still wear it. Overall, I am VERY impressed with the quality for what I though was a cheap watch. This watch isnt cheap, its inexpensive and well built. 5/5

    I wanted to get a Casio watch that was different than other Casio watches I already own, so I did a bit of research on this watch, and I decided to get it.

    Upon receiving it, I was surprised that, despite being listed as a 43 mm diameter watch, it looks a lot smaller on my wrist than I thought it would be (my wrist is 6.5 inches). Its surprisingly a very comfortable watch to wear, very lightweight, almost feels like youre wearing nothing on your wrist. But, because the strap is a bit flimsy, that knocks down my rating by about a star.

    Its a nice and simple analog watch, with a day & date complication, which is always nice to have. The rotating bezel is a nice feature to have as well, but it wouldve been better if the watch had a unidirectional rotating bezel instead of the bidirectional bezel. 100 meters of water resistance is more than enough for me, however I dont plan on testing that theory. The seconds hand of the watch nearly hits every marker.

    While the quality of the watch isnt the greatest, its a $40 watch, so dont expect too much out of it. However, despite the quality being decent, I really like the overall look of the watch, and the feel of the watch on my wrist.

    I definitely recommend this watch if youre looking for a sturdy, everyday analog Casio watch to wear.

    This is a terrific watch for the price. I gave this watch to my mother who is elderly. I did not want to spend a large amount on a watch for her since she could easily lose it. For this model series I read some positive reviews about it.

    The scaling is very easy to read. This is especially good for elderly people, or for someone who has poor eyesight. I like the white numbers and hands on the black background. It shows the day of the week and the date. I found this watch very easy to set. The case is a hard type of plastic construction. The band looks to be made of a silicon base. For general use this watch is tough enough.

    I would not call this an outright diving watch to go in to the ocean or really deep in to the water. The crown is not a screw down type. The rotating bezel moves both clockwise and counter-clockwise, unlike the unidirectional counter-clockwise only bezels found on a good diver watch. The unidirectional bezel prevents the watch from ever accidentally displaying less time elapsed than actually has. A proper and safe diving watch bezel has stepped increments that require some force applied to rotate it. This is to not easily accidentally move the bezel.

    I am very sure you can take a bath or a shower while wearing this watch. I did not rate this watch for water poof because I do not intend to test it for water proof, or use it as a dive watch. For sure the person I gave this watch to will not take in in to any deep water at all. This watch is not a G-Shock series, therefore I would not put it through any very rough treatment.

    As for time keeping this watch is very good. I did not check it to know how many seconds per month it would maintain, but being a quartz watch and with a big name brand I do trust it will be very good for the cost. Most of these watches in this price range are officially rated to +-15 seconds per month. In reality they tend to do somewhat better.

    I remember on the back of the watch it said the movement was made in Japan and the case was made in China. I read that the same model of movement of this watch is used in a number of different styles in this series. 1

    I would recommend this watch to anyone who wants a low cost analog watch that you can depend on. If you have a kid and you want them to have a watch that is not expensive this model could be a good choice. It is very good for the price. There is no back light or any alarms in this watch. Less features will help to lengthen the battery life. In reality a basic rule is, the more simple the watch the better off it will be over the long run. This watch makes for a good low cost watch for knocking round, and is easily replaceable in case it gets busted up.

I dont know if 鶹 is currently selling very old stock or if there is a batch of either defective batteries or defective modules (drawing too much power). Im hoping with the battery replacement that the watch will run for the expected battery life as it is a very good watch. Very legible and rotating bezel is very useful.
