Brand Story
Casio
With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.
Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

- Reviewed in Canada on December 16, 2022Verified PurchaseThis is my third Casio watch in thirty years. The first was retired because its strap got full of paint. A generous soul took pity on me and offered me the same model. From the back of the drawer, this first watch still continued to tell the correct time for many years (except during Daylight Savings Time). For the second one, after ten years of good service, its adjustment buttons have become more capricious and an attempt to repair has been lethal to it. I found the same model on 鶹 but unfortunately all I received was a message from the carrier advising me that the package had been damaged and that I would be refunded. The second attempt was no more successful, this time I got no message, but 鶹 promised me a refund. A third attempt, with Prime next day delivery, was more successful, but delivered 5 days after the promised date. Too bad finally because the watch was $10 less at Walmart.
The watch looks just as good as its predecessors. I recommend it but do not attempt to repair it or change the battery yourself. Also, check Walmart first and don't believe Prime delivery.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 3, 2022Verified PurchaseUsed the Casio A158W as a disposable work watch for almost 30 years. Had at least 5 of them. When I broke last one thought I’d try this. Watch band same. (I like). Face about same size but redesigned so more usable space leading to bigger numbers. (Easier to read) Illumination is improved. I like the new approach to time setting. Negatives…the bigger numbers are elongated and look a bit wonky. The elongated numbers need to be viewed almost straight on to read time ( I constantly find I have to tilt my wrist when I check time) if viewed from an angle (say 45*) the time gets lost in the background. All in all I think I have a new disposable work watch.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 21, 2025Verified PurchaseThis watch is elegant and inexpensive. Bought so many cheap watches, finally pick one that is look nice and good to use. It does has a hourly beep notice too. I had bought dozens of cheap watches, this one maybe by lessons I learn from before ! What a good buy !

Reviewed in Canada on July 7, 2025Verified PurchaseBien reçu et l'article est neuf! Merci.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 1, 2021Verified PurchaseThis is my fourth buy of the same watch over the years. I like it a lot. It functions trouble free, years. Bracelet functionality is also more than satisfactory. Only trouble with the watch is its adjusting knobs. After five or six years, they gradually loose their functionality. Eventually, each and every one gets stuck. I suggest spare knobs and/or assemblies inclusion for a long lasting watch.

1.0 out of 5 stars Geen pakket ( horloge gehad)

5.0 out of 5 stars Nödvändiga funktioner, enkel, snygg och praktisk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Estilo retro y excelente calidad a un buen precio
Verified PurchaseThe media could not be loaded.
