    This watch is just awesome. I love the colors and how it feels on the wrist. Has all the functionality you need and it has a beautiful display, the display is easy to read at night and the backlight is bright, doubles as a flashlight.     J'ai acheté comme cadeau alors je n'ai pas la réaction finale mais selon mon point de vu: elle est beaucoup plus légère que imaginer (un bon point pour porter chaque jour), elle est très jolie et bien fait! L'éclairage est comme pes Casio en général, pas super forte mais correct :)
    Je suis déçu de l'emballage par contre, je pensais que ce serait venu dans un boîtier en tôle comme en magasin et comme sur la plupart fes reviews.. c'est seulement une boite de carton qui tombe en miette et la montre était pas attaché ni rien (ça fait cheap pour le prix vendu à mon avis)
    Mais la montre en soit est belle et semble fonctionner comme il se doit (on verra lorsque le cadeau est donner) :)

    I used to have frequent work in Japan and always wanted to purchase a G shock watch, but face seemed to small.
    The G shock XL series is perfect, wide and bulky enough to sufficiently fit my arm/wrist.
    The price point has allowed me to purchase 2 colours.

    What's the use of wearing a watch if you can't read it?

    I own many watches, and bought for travel this thinking that I would get the lightweight toughness of my Luminox Navy Seal BO combined with the world time and alarm features of a digital.

    The analog part of this watch has NO lume at all, and is dependent on the "Super Illuminator LED Light" for night-time visibility. This is huge fail, as the light shines across the face from the bottom edge of the dial and doesn't light up the hands.

    The negative LCD digital display looks cool in pictures, but in reality is very dim and has low contrast making it difficult to read in the best of conditions. The LCD display doesn't light up, but is also dependent on the "Super Illuminator" which doesn't shine on the display at all.

    The only way to read this watch at night is by shining an external light on it.

    I now primarily wear this watch during the day when working on cars or construction, as a disposable watch.

    Otherwise, this watch is OK, but in my opinion the lack of lume and backlight is a fatal flaw.

    I bought this Casio G-Shock GA-700UC-8ACR because I've grown quite fond of this model line from Casio. It's big and beefy but not overbearing. I have 7.5-inch wrists, so it this watch's size is not so overpowering in looks. It's just right. Setting the time function isn't so hard as it uses the 5522 module. Setting it for daylight saving time and UTC was a snap too. It sits on your wrist quite comfortably and I don't get any fatigue from wearing this watch. The setting buttons are nice and big, so you probably wouldn't have a hard time pushing them if you're wearing gloves. The one drawback it has is its negative display. It is not backlit in any way. There is a light that lights the dial up to a less than usable degree, but you will not be able to see the digital display. These pictures were taken under fluorescent office lighting, so you can see the digital display reasonably well. Take a step into the wonderful world of Casio with this excellent watch.
