Product description

The Casio range is growing with this model MWA-100H-1AVEF. Sporting a stainless steel case with a brushed finish, it will easily withstand all the shocks of everyday life. The latter measures 50.6 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness, dimensions offering unparalleled reading comfort. A delicate acrylic glass protects the dial from any scratches you will encounter. A bezel fixed by screws , and brushed finish, takes place around the latter. A winding button, placed at the level of the 3 o'clock index, is used to adjust the hands. Finally, its case back, held in place by screws, prevents water from infiltrating the case, and guarantees it a water resistance of 10 ATM, ie up to a depth of 100 meters.

It comes with 10bar water resistant so it’s fully waterproof with Japanese movement (cased in china). Overall the packaging was nicely done and the design of the watch is phenomenal! The delivery package however was pretty light, could’ve easily been destroyed if it was dropped or thrown. Should’ve added an extra layer like bubble wrap to protect the main box inside.

    I bought this watch for $41 CAD from 鶹 warehouse deals, it was noted that there was a scratch on the case but it came to me flawless. I think I got lucky, but now onto the watch itself.

    Having worn this watch daily for a month I must say I there are a lot of things to love about this watch, for me it's the sunburst dial, the hands, and the bracelet construction that makes it feel like a more expensive watch. Fantastic work and design from Casio. It stays relatively accurate the month I've had it only gaining 3 seconds which I consider very good.

    Now there are some problems with the watch that I need to address before you consider buying it.
    1) The "glass" is made of resin and is sensitive to scratches. If you are to get this watch I recommend getting some sort of protective cover (tempered glass or biofilm) or swap it for a crystal (not sure how many would feel about that at this price point)
    2) The lume and light switch leave much to be desired. Lume does not last long and is not too bright.
    3) Size. I have a 7.5" wrist and still this thing looks ginormous on me.
    4) Readability. I didn't realize it at the time of purchase but the numbers are in military which is new to me but I don't mind. Also the cardinal numbers have a range of 3 seconds/minutes which can be hard to read at a glance.

    These are just my little nitpicks, I still love this watch and continue to wear it daily I know these could be a deal breaker for some.

    I unfortunately do not have the guts to test WR so I cannot comment on that.
