Good supplement for my workouts
L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid that helps your body move fatty acids out of storage and into your blood stream to be used as fuel. The result can be beneficial for weight loss, heart condition and general fitness improvement. As a bonus these pills also have some calcium thrown in the mix. These supplements come in a bottle containing 60 pills, which at the recommended dosage of 2 pills per day is a 30 day supply. At the current sale price of $21.55 that equates to just 72 cents per day, which I think is quite reasonable. The pills themselves are on the large size so some may have trouble swallowing them, although I personally had no issue. I think this may also be impacted by the fact that they are not conventional capsules. Instead, they are solid pills that are more like vitamins. They have no real taste to them, although admittedly they aren’t in my mouth for very long. They go down and settle in my stomach just fine, no repeating or anything like that and do not seem to affect my digestive tract in any way. Overall, these are a great source of L-Carnitine at a reasonable cost. If you are looking for this specifically then I would recommend them.

    It is not possible to objectively evaluate the benefits or the efficacy of supplements through ordinary home use; so, I will not get into this product's effectiveness, and you can search the Internet for the benefits of the main ingredients of this product.

    The country of origin is not clearly indicated. They use the marketing text "formulated in Canada" on the product page, but that usually means it was not manufactured in Canada. But it has an NPN number (Natural Product Number) that can be used to confirm that it was licensed in September 2023. There are 2 brand names associated with the license, and the license holder is Smoky Mountain Ventures, LLC dba SMNUTRITION.

    Similar to the label on the product, the NPN product information page lists 2 medicinal ingredients. Risk information on the NPN page is as follows:
    "Cautions and Warnings
    Consult a health care practitioner/health care provider/health care professional/doctor/physician prior to use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a seizure disorder."

    It comes in a container with 60 tablets in it. The recommended dosage is 2 tablets, 1 time per day which should have the bottle last for a month if you follow the recommended dosage. The price was $24 CAD at the time of writing.

    While I cannot confirm the claimed benefits or the product's efficacy, I see no reason to cut any stars from my rating. I appreciate that it comes with a proper NPN number on the bottle, but not clearly indicating the country of origin is not good. The tablet size is unfortunately quite large. There was also some powder inside the bottle, probably that came off the tablets.

    Well...they start off fine. Tasteless with no symptoms as I took one pill twice a day with water and food. I am on day 4 now, and yesterday I noticed a strong urine and sweat smell. Googled and that is a sideeffect of this. Today started with bad taste in my mouth along with the other symptoms. I guess its starting to get into my system - giving a few more days to see if this nonsense is worth the boost to my weight loss goal. I have noticed I am less hungry but had started dieting a week before I began taking these so perhaps its only my stomach shrinking and not the pills. We shall see.

    Giving this 4 stars b/c I was taking this in combination with the collagen and combined I think they both had a “fat burning” effect as I lost roughly 10lbs in the first 2 weeks of using BUT nothing else sense. Guess my body adapted to it. I can say that after taking these, I did feel a boost in energy for sure. I would take these right before work and I wouldn’t have the sluggish feeling anymore. But seeing how l-carnatine is in my current recovery powered, I don’t feel the need to double up so I probably won’t purchase these again. However, if you’re not taking a recovery supplement with L-carnatine, then I would definitely give these a try. Lastly, the pills are HUGE! One went down sideways once and that sucker was tough to go down after that and it felt like it was stuck somewhere for awhile lol.
