24.2 Megapixel (APS-C) CMOS Sensor

Equipped with a 24.2-million-pixel CMOS (APS-C) image sensor & DIGIC X Image Processor, the EOS R50 camera can capture images & videos with reduced noise, delivering clear, detailed results even in low light. Images look beautiful even when enlarged, with natural bokeh that smartphones can’t offer.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II

Easily keep track of your subject with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II – a highly responsive system that covers up to approximately 100% x 100% of the picture area, breaking the image into up to 651 automatically-selected AF zones during Whole Area AF.

Vlogging Made Simple and Convenien

With video recording features such as 6K oversampled uncropped 4K movie at up to 30 fps, Full-HD High-frame rate movie recording at up to 120 fps, Dual Pixel CMOS AF tracking, and Movie for Close-up Demo Mode, the EOS R50 camera makes vlogging and video content creation simple and convenient.

The EOS R50 camera can continuously record video for up to 1 hour, allowing you to set up your video and keep your vlog, podcast, or other video project rolling without worrying about it stopping (3).

Movie for Close-Up Demos Mode

Quickly switch focus from the on-camera subject to an object that is presented towards the camera’s lens.

Vertical Movie Mode

Movie rotation information can be set during or after movie recording, allowing videos to be played in vertical composition when viewing on a phone.

Vari-Angle Touchscreen LCD

Featuring a 3.0-inch, 1.62 million dot Clear View LCD II Vari-angle Touchscreen LCD, the EOS R50 makes it easy to compose and shoot from any angle.

Precise Electronic Viewfinder

UVC Livestreaming

UVC/UAC compatibility allows the EOS R50 camera to be used as a web camera to stream live video in Full HD 30 fps fixed, without additional computer software, to applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, and similar on-line web conferencing software(4).

Wired and Wireless Communications

The EOS R50 camera supports both wired and wireless connections to your smartphone via its USB Type-C(4) port, built-in Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technology, making it easy to upload and share movies and photos to your favorite social networks.

Built-in Bluetooth Capability

Bluetooth pairing helps you connect the camera to compatible smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app. This low-energy wireless connection helps preserve battery life, while providing remote control of the camera. It also sends continuously updated GPS location data from your phone, letting you geotag what you've captured so you know precisely where you captured the photo.

Built-in Wi-Fi Capability

    I’ve had this for 4 months now, camera quality is very eh, poor quality without flash and very black and white quality with flash ( too much contrast even after playing around with settings) But my biggest issue is that despite me keeping it super safe in a padded case and never once physically damaging it… the buttons to change the settings just stopped working. It’s like a glitch or something where i turn the roulette and the camera option i put doesn’t align with what’s on the screen. I tried to reset it and nothing.

    Algo a tomar en cuenta con esta línea de cámaras Canon es que cuentan con un tipo de montura RF (parte de la cámara donde se conecta el objetivo, o sea, el lente), que es una de las mas nuevas se puede decir, por lo que deberás considerar eso al buscar lentes para tu cámara, ya que no son compatibles con todas las cámaras, a menos que se use un adaptador.

Desde el primer uso me sentí cómodo explorando sus funciones, ya que el manejo es sencillo y el menú muy fácil de entender, eso sí, tuve que ver algunos tutoriales y leer el instructivo para conocerla mejor.

    Se nota que está bien construida, con buenos materiales y acabados. Es un equipo que inspira confianza y que motiva a seguir aprendiendo y experimentando. Sin duda la recomiendo, especialmente si estás buscando tu primera cámara. Es una gran compañera para comenzar a capturar momentos especiales con calidad profesional, pero sin complicaciones. Comparto algunas imágenes que he tomado en mis primeras semanas con la cámara. PD. No me juzguen, sigo aprendiendo :)

    Algo a tomar en cuenta con esta línea de cámaras Canon es que cuentan con un tipo de montura RF (parte de la cámara donde se conecta el objetivo, o sea, el lente), que es una de las mas nuevas se puede decir, por lo que deberás considerar eso al buscar lentes para tu cámara, ya que no son compatibles con todas las cámaras, a menos que se use un adaptador.
