    After attaching this to my camera i liked how nice and snug it felt. But what really stood out to me, that i really like is the control ring. And I wish all canon lens had this, is the click in place as you spin it. Makes it more secure in place and cant be easily bumped out of place. And yes the click is silent. If your looking for high quality then this product is worth it and for that I give it a 5 star.

    I upgraded from a crop sensor camera, which was EF/EF-S adapter. This is a needed accessory if you want to use those lenses with these new R mount camera's. The control ring is already a great addition, your able to set the control ring to be several items for your best workflow, IE: Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed, etc. Having another quick accessible control is vital for fast work environments.

    Recently, I've upgraded my DSLR Canon 6d to Canon R6 Mark II. After lots of product reviews checking, I decided to purchase this Canon ef to r lens adapter with control ring. I was so excited when I received the package because I own many Canon ef lenses(never have problems with DSLR). With the adapter, it can save me big bucks. But quite disappointed, when I put on my first canon 100mm L lens and tried some shots, the camera was dead, and the "MF" shown on the screen. I thought maybe the connection was not tight enough. So, I dismounted the lens and mounted again. Good for certain time. Then, same problem appeared. I just tried two more Canon lenses. Good for certain shots then, again, dead. Since this is the first time to use the adapter, I just put it aside and search the web for the solutions. Till now, I tried these methods: cleaned(brush, blow, alcohol) the connecters on both lenses and adapters; used fully charged battery(several ones, all canon batteries); using different fast memory cards; tried all different lenses. The result: Same problem for all the big lenses, the heavier the lenses (24--105mm L, 70--300mm L, 150--600mm), the more frequent death. Even the prime lenses (100mm L, 135mm L & 35mm) have the same happening. Used the EF-S lenses (18--135mm & 10--22mm) and got the same result. Only two small lenses (50mm & 40mm) are good, never have problem, even once. I used this adapter for two events. Had to dismount and mount the lens while shooting because of the occurring of "MF". Quite annoying! I think the problem should be the adapter itself, not the battery, memory card or others. The reviews of this adapter are quite positive. That's why I picked up this model. Maybe just this one? Unlucky!
