It has a wide variety of mounting configurations available.
It is easy and fast to setup and locks rigidly in place once you have it positioned as desired.
The clamp in the middle allows for great flexibility when positioning and is made of some metal that seems very sturdy.
The ring clamp is padded so it shouldn't scratch the bar your attaching it to.
And the two cradles have strong springs and good grippers to hold your cell in place very well.
One cradle is slightly bigger than the other to accommodate different sizes of devices.
Interestingly both cradles have two 1/4-20 threaded holes, on in the back and the other on the bottom so with a small section of 1/4-20 rod (or a bolt with the head cut off) you could attach one cradle to the other and mount two devices at once!
This also means that you could use this cradle with any device / armature that ends in a 1/4-20 rod.
The cradles also come with a rubber band thing that grabs the corners of your cell and keeps it locked into the cradle for when in use over rough terrain or at high speeds.
Easy 5 stars!

All metal ball joints and connector make this great value. If you do camera anything take a look! the connectors and ball joints seem to be standard making this a nifty diy kit for other projects.

I'm using this to upgrade a friends mobility chair with a mirror as the ball joint here fits the rear mirror ball socket allowing me to use the screw opposite to directly connect it to a mount.

Using this for a cell phone, like it's purpose?

It's really good!!! You get a 2nd spare phone holder and they are the opposite squeeze open type - some of the best to securely hold the phone. The center ball joints are held by the middle slat screw and being metal you can he-man them down as tight as you want to the point of never getting them off again.

Securing this to something is done via a V shaped metal plate with band passthroughs. very secure to attach to most objects.

So as a phone mount ~ great!
As a makeshift metal mirror holder for a mobility chair ~ Great!

I wanted to give it 5 stars, but it is definitely not perfect.

What make this great is the fact that no other product like this seems to be available here. And that the part that attaches to the roll bar is pretty good and a new option I haven't seen before with these types of attachment. The part that holds your phone I would give 2/5 star for the intended purposes.

In my case, the included clamp is too small, since it to be used on a tractor, but still, the holder itself works just fine, and I have heavy-duty long tie wrap that works just fine here. I did have to add some rubber so it doesn't slide.

One thing I don't like about the base is the screw of the arm is loose. It still does it function to open and close, but it loose and make noise (though, that one isn't an huge deal in it actual application). That said, you can screw it pretty hard, and the feeling is smooth, and you don't feel metal grinding on each other. It also easy to unscrew (without being too easy...).

The actual phone holder is disappointing... I've been testing a few of them, and I don't feel I want to use that on an UTV. They added a rubber strap things to help hold it more in place, but that gimmicky to me.

For Camkix team : An idea, would be just to make the best roll bar holder possible, and have adapter system to other phone mount system. For example, a lot of my other bike mount I have tested recently have different a ball mount attachment between the phone holder and the bike mount. So having this "permanent" attachment you made, and just have different ball attachment I think would be a better solution. Keep this basic clip one with it with the screw, but have different ball attachment conversion for different mount system.

I haven't tested it in this scenario, but since it more a permanent setup, I wonder how the metal hold in the rain.

So the phone holder itself isn't horrible, but it not amazing. The rubber that holds the phone does feel good and grippy. It is nice that it has 2 attachment point, but one of them is to the sliding portion of the hold, which I don't feel it the best option. The pressure on the phone seems fine for most uses, but on hard bump, it worries me, even with the rubber attachment.

Also, there is a lot of groves in the plastic of the phone holder, which if you have dirt that get in there, it going to be really hard to clean.

Also when you screw it into the base, even with good pressure, it will unscrew really easily. I'm not sure if the problem here is with the phone holder part or the base.

They included an extra phone holder... But personally my most expensive part is my phone itself, so I would rather have a single phone holder that doesn't break so I don't need a new phone.

I like that everything fit in a really small box. Make for efficient shipping.

I'll personally be using it for an GoPro or my Insta 360 on my tractor than for my phone, so overall this is just perfect.

When I saw the box for this item I would have bet the farm I got shipped the wrong item. Once I unboxed it knew I got the right item and it was a quality product!

The only hard part about installing this was getting the padded hose clamp to start screwing into itself. That was most likely due to the location I was mounting it at. It was hard for me to see what I was doing. Once I got the clamp tightened up I just adjusted the swivel mechanism into positon for my phone. I really thought this thing was going to move around outof position, but after going a down a rough trail on my property the phone never moved!

The phone I used in a Samsung Ultra S22 with the Otterbox case and the phone holder still had a little extra for a larger phone.

Don't let the price scare you away. This product is worth every penny!

This phone mount is more stable than other contraptions I’ve tried on my Kawasaki Mule. It is also relatively compact, so it doesn’t intrude on my head space when mounted in a “visor” position — I won’t bang into it and the phone remains visible but not blocking. The ball-and-socket arm locks up very snug, while providing the flexibility to quickly face the phone forward or backward, horizontal or vertical — for selfies or panoramas or GPS/mapping.

The phone clamps (a spare is provided) offer two standard 1/4” threaded female connectors to allow other configurations, or mounting of an accessory. The clamp works sort of like a wooden clothespin. I found it a bit hard to grasp (physically and conceptually) where to squeeze to operate it once installed, as the small finger grips kind of blend into the ends of the clamp. The clamp does grip the phone firmly, and kept an iPhone13 in an Otterbox securely on a couple miles of rough road at medium speed. The rubber “spider” is kind of unhandy and obstructs screen and/or camera — but it might hang onto the phone better during extreme shocks/vibrations than the spring clamp. A screw clamp could be a better choice for security.

An unfortunate design choice is the two thumb screws (at either end of the ball-and-socket arm) being only 3/4” in diameter — compared to a more conventional 1” to 1-1/4” diameter on every camera accessory, tripod, and selfie stick I own. The small diameter makes it very difficult to tighten the screws with enough force to avoid loosening — by vibration of movement, or when tweaking the phone into the exact position desired.

Another shortcoming is the absence of a decent instruction sheet. Instead, there is a slip of paper with an apology for the useless little pictures and directions printed on the box: "Prepare all necessary items. Ensure you have a Phillips (cross head) screwdriver or even better is a 5/16” hex screwdriver…Choose your location…Tighten the parts…” Gee, thanks for all that. If you DIY this sort of project, 1) you will eventually figure it out, and 2) you have no doubt experienced the frustration of buttoning up a tight project in a tight space, only to take it all back apart after realizing…this part is upside down…there is insufficient clearance here...it would have worked better if I had known… Well, here you go again. You deserve better at this price point. On the bright side, you will probably like it once you’re locked down.
