I tried several different manufacturers fir usb to hdmi and i kept this one over all others including Belkin’s and Anker’s version. It is a simple minimal adapter that lets you connect to hdmi and keep your ipad charged up. Keep in kind that the ipad will use battery to feed this device at all times, so you should not stop the power input if this item is plugged into your ipad. Probably same with other platforms.

Be mindful that Netflix will still not work reliably through this or any adapter. Apple TV app on the ipad works perfectly through the iPad and this adapter.

I use this for a 2K monitor which is higher resolution than just 1080P, and everything looks amazing.

This is essentially a USB-C to HDMI adapter that also supports 140W PD. The adapter is made with aluminium, and the built-in pigtail cable is nylon-braided for a premium, sturdy build. This is a straightforward plug-and-play adapter that worked fine with my Lenovo laptop. Although I don't have any 4K@240 Hz or 8K@60 Hz monitors to test this adapter's upper limits, it had no issues with my 4K@60 Hz monitor. It's also small and portable, making it easy to take anywhere.

This is a pretty important little dongle when you want to use a HDMI output on your compatible device, and especially when you do not have a second charging port to keep your device alive this is a really convenient dongle to have. The ports and plugs all fit very securely and the cable length is pretty standard. The build quality is just solid overall. The only thing to note is that the USB-C port on this adapter is (properly indicated on the listing too) for charging passthrough only, and cannot transfer data at all.

The Cable Matters USB-C to HDMI 2.1 Adapter with 140W Charging is a quality adapter that works as advertised, at least with my setups.

I tested the Cable Matters Adapter from the following computers and got the expected results. Each computer setup used the same two LG 27” 4K monitors (27UK850 and 27UL550).
- MacBook Pro 15” Intel Core i9 (2018) running beta macOS Sequoia 15.7
- iPad M2 Pro (Gen 6) 12.9” running beta iPadOS 26

The HDMI interface worked fine on all computers, and the colour and text looked the same as before. All resolutions supported by the computer/monitor combination worked, and I didn’t see any flickering or artifacts.

The Power Delivery passthrough also worked with my MacBook Pro, which has an 87W power adapter. This is nice because I don’t have to use another port for it. The Power Delivery passthrough also worked with my iPad.

I like having this type of adapter because it allows me to change connections between my computers and often need different video connections on the monitor. This solves some of my problems because the computers don’t have direct HDMI interfaces but have USB-C. I can’t easily switch between them without using special video cables.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a higher-end setup to test the full capabilities of the cable (4K@240Hz, 8K@60Hz).

Overall, the Cable Matters USB-C to HDMI Adapter is a quality video cable at a reasonable price.

Purchased Cable Matters 48Gbps USB C to HDMI 2.1 Adapter with 140W Charging and it works out of the box with my Samsung 57 Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NC) for each of my devices over HDMI (monitor port #2); windows laptop, macbook pro M4, and Samsung Dex. Unlike the other recommended products for 4k120+ resolutions and framerate, this one actually worked and I get full 7680x2160 @ 120hz with HDR and it even works in PiP-mode with 4k120hz for each of them when I run split screen. Other dongles had issues with full resolution or PiP split screen and none of the others worked properly with Samsung Dex, so this is the one to go with.

I think it is expensive, but this is the way to go if you want to play from your tv while getting the most from GeForce now.

I wanted to find an adapter to mirror my Pixel 10 Pro display to a monitor or TV. The adapter I had already didn't work and it wouldn't give the option to mirror the display on my phone. This one functions great. The adapter is easy to connect and I do need to make sure the power is connected. I found that my Pixel 10 Pro will not consistently mirror the display if power isn't connected. I have another adapter that requires power as well. I don't think the Pixel 10 Pro can drive power to an HDMI adapter on its own. This adapter feels high quality and is designed well. For the price, the quality matches and doesn't feel cheap.
