Do Not Buy - Molex to Sata, lose your data
Bought this as a quick solution to needing another SATA cable to power drives in my computer without having a SATA cable on hand... Turned out to be a massive mistake. Within seconds of booting the PC with this cable attached, I could smell burning plastic and see smoke. Seems like the SATA connection caused a short circuit when attached to my SSD, melted the plastic to the SSD power contacts, and now the SSD is unusable. Thankfully I only tried this on one drive, and I caught it in time before a fire broke out on my wood table. However, I now need to pay more money to have the data retrieved off my SSD. Aside from this, the Molex connector leads are lose in that side of the connector, which needed much effort to get connected to the Molex cable. Other reviews have mentioned this and that should have been a red flag for myself at the start.
