Everyone should own this tool if they enjoy cooking. It has made cooking soup and sauces so much easier, the attachments that come with it are also very useful. It's very powerful, not too heavy and the way the handle is designed won't strain your hand when operating it. Very easy to clean, if you rinse it as soon as you are done using it, it gets a bit difficult under the blade if you leave it without rinsing instantly. I haven't had it for long to see if it will last and not break but it seems to be well made and not flimsy.

Nice Hand Blender except for the fact you have to constantly press a safety button to make it work. I know people would blend their fingers off but it just seems not a good placement. Which brings up why that safety button placement is so important. The on/off speed buttons are incredibly stiff. keeping them pressed for more then 30 seconds is a Olympian feat. I have a cheap hand mixer that I am trying not to go back to without any of these issues. Love the whisk attachment have not use the chopper.

Updated review March 2025 - utterly disappointed! I purchased this immersion blender specifically because my original one I bought years ago died on me. Cuisinart had a great reputation of making high quality items that did their job well for years making them worth the price you pay for them. This immersion blender no longer turns the blade of the attachments. The motor is working fine, but the connection part seems to be made of some sort of soft plastic that wears quickly. I noticed early on that it was often a struggle to take the pieces apart, I thought I wasn’t pushing the unlock mechanism deep enough for the parts to disengage. Now I realize that it wasn’t user error it is a faulty product. This is unacceptable for a Cuisinart product to have lasted just one year before breaking down. Like I said - I am very disappointed and am now rethinking my opinion on the entire brand name.

Waste of money, feels flimsy American voltage, too many adaptors to plug in, too many buttons to press. The “grinder box” is not dishwasher safe, it fills up with water and almost impossible to empty it. In disgust I went and bought a top of the range Bamix, a far better tool.

I bought it for making mayonnaise. But it works for many other purposes. It works best if the blade is covered at least 1.5 inches before turning it on. Since it's metal I only use it in plastic jars. When I used it in a glass wide mouth canning jar it chipped the glass rim and I had to discard the contents. It's great to only need to clean the blade arm instead of using a chopper with a big container.

I had the older version of this cuisinart for years. This one is not as “solid” and does not seem to have the same power of the earlier version. I know safety features are important, but I do not like that you have to hold down two buttons to operate it. I have arthritis and that is quite uncomfortable. It does the job, but I’m disappointed in the quality.
