Should have ordered this long time ago. Easy to cut with scissors to the size you need and it really sticks. It is wide enough for a 2"x11.25" stair tread and covered a small area with worn thin vinyl deck covering on landing outside the front door. Covered tread and edge as shown in pictures. What I would suggest to have on hand is a rubber roller or even a rolling pin to roll along as you apply it. This will ensure you don't get any unwanted bubbles. There appears to plenty of coarse grit so there is no slipping.

What I Like - An absolute beast of a roll! It’s nice being able to cover such a large area. The 12” is a little harder to handle than say a 4”, but once you get the hang of it, or have someone giving you a hand to hold the roll, it’s easy to get going. I used this to completely cover a wheelchair ramp made of pressure treated wood. The backing is a little hard to peel, but once you get it, it usually all comes off together and DOESN’T rip into random pieces, which is great. You’ll want to make sure you flatten it out and really press it down to whatever it is you’re sticking it to well. It does stick to itself decently. It will definitely need replacing here and there, especially with lots of rain/moisture/snow. When you cut it, make sure you have a nice sharp knife. Don’t forget the grip tape will make your knife, scissors or blade dull quicker than normal use.

What I Don’t Like - As I mentioned above, the 12” size is a little difficult to manage with one person. Not the reason I only gave 4 stars - that reason is due to the adhesion. Although it’s really good, it would be great if it did have better adhesion.

Overall grit of the surface is quite good. It is easy to apply, however if you want to use it for outdoor use, you will need to use an additional adhesive to hold it into place. In our case it formed ripples within three days of applying the strip to an outdoor ramp. Fortunately because of the size of the Roll we had ample left to replace what had rippled but this time I put on contact cement first and now it's holding like it should have.
