    Broke on first use. The base is connected to the trigger end by what seems to be either glue or an extremely minimal solder joint (x3). This device is in no way capable of supporting more than 15 lbs of grip force, before the sliver-thing joints fail. It took one trigger squeeze, dispensing bathroom silicone, to snap this caulking gun in half and render it useless.

    Used it to caulk my bathroom. Process was easy. If trying to move the metal rod, do not press down on the release w/ the spring all the way. Try and get it midway / even / perpendicular to the metal rod and the metal rod will move easily. Pushing it down to far will make it stay locked up!
