UI designed for the Creator
The EOS R50 V was designed through creator feedback to solve many of the pain points of creators. Its exterior was completely redesigned to be bold, modern, and untraditional in appearance. Enjoy smooth powered zooming with an on camera zoom lever (for Power Zoom compatible lenses), a 3-micrphone array for clear audio and unwanted noise reduction, and the latest Canon Multi-function shoe to attach and power additional compatible accessories.
Vertically Versatile
As a product made for today’s video content creator, it comes equipped with both a vertical and horizontal tripod mount. These are available on the side of the camera’s grip, and also on the bottom of the camera body. When in Movie mode, the on-screen menu’s automatically rotate based on the camera’s orientation.
Always ready, and never surprised
With creators in mind, two Record buttons are provided—one front-facing for vlogging, one at the Shutter position. A red tally light and a red border on the LCD clearly show when recording, so you or your subject are never surprised.
Outstanding Image Quality
The RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM features 1 UD element, and 2 aspherical lenses which achieves high image quality from center to the edges while maintaining compactness. Even at widest zoom, optical & digital corrections combine to minimize risk of darkening at the edges or bending of straight lines.
High-speed, Smooth and Quiet Autofocus
The lens features a leadscrew-type STM focus drive system which provides smooth and natural AF. This is especially beneficial to video users because of its combination of quiet operation and outstanding smoothness of focus changes during actual recording.
Compact and Lightweight
At approximately 6.3 ounces (181g), the RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM is extremely lightweight and compact, especially for a lens with a power zooming function built-in!
Ready to create
Zoom lever allows Power Zoom lenses such as the RF14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens to be controlled at the camera body. Control of the zoom speed can be fully customized in the camera’s menu allowing separate control of the speed for before recording, and separately for during recording.
