    Have you watched rupauls drag race? This is the documentary he often refers too. Taken place in new york in the 80s its shows one of the clubs were the balls went down. Follows some of the queens and gives an idea of life in the lgbt community during the aids crisis. Great watch

    I first saw "Paris is Burning" on a free internet viewing service. I have been compiling a collection of Gay themes films during the lock down and this HAD to be a part of if
    The documentary film captures some of the most remembered NY queen and trans community members.
    Like real life, not all the people in the film have happy endings.
    I lived in Toronto in the 1980's and learned so much of my history from people I meet at gay establishments.
    I now life in a rural part of Canada and love "reading" the locals. I have learned to say "buy Philistia" of many A..Holes, but I don't spill the T - too small a town and too many people were once trying to make my life hell by spilling the T
    I keep the T to myself!
