Ordered this printer yesterday and received it today. My experience with printers are with the ones that are plugged into a desktop or laptop where you download the drivers. I was very apprehensive about ordering a printer that operates with Wifi because I am not that techy. So many reviews wit( other brands revealed many frustrations with set up and that did concern me. Since I do own Apple products I felt it was time to get with the technology and give this a try. When I researched best home use monochrome laser printers this model appeared on all of the recommended lists. The price seemed reasonable so I thought I would give it a try and have peace of mind with a 30 day return policy if it didn’t work out for me. I chose Brother because one of my wired home printers is also a brother and I have been happy with it. Included are instructions for a quick set up, but the key to an easy install if to download the Brother mobile App and follow the step by step instructions. I was able to connect to Wifi first try. I tested it by printing a PDF from my iPad and it worked like a charm. Print quality is great and speed of print is more than satisfactory. I did attempt to scan a document, but when you do it right from the scanner it has you sending it to your tablet. I am not sure if there is an option to print a scanned copy right from the unit, but that’s my next project to figure out all of the ins and outs of scanning documents. There are also helpful tutorials online. I have 30 days to return, but I feel certain this printer is a keeper. Also, I like that there isn’t a forced subscription for printer cartridges like other brands.
