The Broil King Imperial pizza stone features a high grade 1.2 mm stainless steel cradle with oversized 10 mm stainless steel handles, the set includes a resilient 13 in. pizza stone, able to withstand rapid temperature changes, a high grade stainless cradle and wooden pizza peel, the cradle is designed to keep the pizza from sliding off of the stone while removing it with the peel. DO NOT SEASON WITH OIL. Rinse with water and a little mild detergent only, dry immediately.

    I have been making home pizza in the kitchen oven for so long and always look for improvement. This gadget made my BBQ gas grill the closest to a pizza oven. The stone temperature reached 600F in about 20 minutes. The set up in the picture (recommended in some YouTube) contained high temperature around the pizza so the top and bottom cooked perfectly at the same time in about 3 minutes (rotate every 20 seconds). The cradle lifts the stone enough from the BBQ grates to avoid burning and create heat circulation around the pizza. The elevated lip in the back makes it easy to roll the pizza on and off without oversliding the dough or the topping. Simple and perfect.

    This did not come with the stick handle. It was not in the packaging. We needed this for a pizza bar party that we were hosting. We have to make a handle now to use the wood shuffle plate. Otherwise it is terrific! Heats well and fairly easy to clean. Make sure you don't use a flour based spray. The pam cooking spray collects and just leaves sticky film that you will not be able to get off.

    I was very disappointed that the stone was broken when I opened it. The box was intact And there was no evidence of trauma to the outer box either.

    Please send a replacement of the stone as soon as possible.
