I bought this broom because my old one was near it's end, and I wanted a floor squeegee. I have been told this broom is very similar to a much more expensive cleaning brand's model, but I didn't know until after I bought it. I have two cats and various types of flooring in my house, and this broom cleans all of them better than any broom I've ever had (though it does take a few sweeps to get used to as it's very different from a traditional broom). In fact, I am re-homing my stick vacuum because this broom does a better job than it does! I also came with a little handbrush, which was an unexpected bonus. I use the squeegee after mopping to remove excess water and dry the floor faster, and my floors are as clean as if I'd done them on hands and knees with a cloth. The only thing is that it doesn't come with a dustpan, so save your old one (I use a vileda dustpan and it works great). Do yourself a favor and buy this broom! I'll never go back to soft bristle brooms again.
