    This was the best price I have seen on this lock. It is extremely heavy duty. The lock is made with hardened steel. The shackle and lock body are enclosed in plastic to prevent scratching your bike. However I cut the plastic cover off the shackle to make it fit the hardened steel chain I have, which I purchased in bulk from the big orange store.
    I use it as an extra level of security to chain up my expensive Trek in my locked garage. But its also easy to carry on my bike with a shorter hardened steel chain I have. Will it stop a determined, professional (aka crazy) thief? No. But it will slow down and discourage most most low-lifes to move on to easier prey. You can definitely find a stronger, better one for 4x the price. But I don't leave my bike locked in sketchy neighborhoods. So pleased, I just ordered a second one.
