Starting with the most obvious question: does it work well with Lego. The answer is, yes.
I was really surprised by the variety of components in this product set. The motors are just the right size for small and medium projects. They are powerful enough to make things fun, and the control are quite good.
I added this set to an old Mindstorm set I had from eons ago and I had a lot of fun exploring the combinations of manually controlled motors and the programmable Mindstorm motor (running Python code, no less!!) in various configurations and projects.
Can't beat the price point!
The motors provide a decent amount of power for small to medium builds and respond well to controls, which adds an interactive element to the projects. The cables and connectors are flexible and long enough to work with various designs.
Its a great way to explore STEM concepts like mechanics and engineering without too much complexity. The set is compact, so its easy to store and transport between projects.
Overall, it enhances creative building by adding movement and control without overwhelming beginners.
