- Reviewed in Canada on April 10, 2025Verified PurchaseBought a cheaper one on 鶹 last year and broke the second time we used it! This one lasted on our 14 day trip and is ready to go with us next time. Compact and easy to travel in luggage
- Reviewed in Canada on March 10, 2022Verified PurchaseThe item works well in Italy. I have been using it twice a day for about 10 days now while on a trip in Italy. I followed the instructions and boiled water in it 3 times before I actually used it. Even after that, I noticed a thin film on the water surface when I left water in for a few hours after use. So now I empty the kettle every time I use it. Considering some hotel rooms in Europe do not offer coffee / tea making facilities in the room, this is a great product for those who need a regular caffeine fix. Not sure how long it will last but I am happy with my purchase. When travelling, I would recommend you put the item in the checked luggage. I had it in my hand luggage and this triggered an additional security check.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 19, 2025Verified PurchaseIt's really a perfect travel kettle for tea and coffee lovers, and so compact!
- Reviewed in Canada on October 7, 2023Verified PurchaseSmall compact kettle. It is about the size of a large hamburger when fully folded. Used on a recent trip where the hotel room had no tea or coffee. With this kettle, we packed our own instant coffee and tea to enjoy in the privacy of the hotel room.
The water boils very fast! So don't leave it unattended. As per the instructions, boil water in it a few times before use. We found no aftertaste.
Airport security did request to open our carry on to inspect the kettle. We purposely left one side of the original box (describing the kettle with a picture) beside it in the suitcase.
I recommend this kettle for travel especially if your hotel does not provide free coffee or tea in room.
Final tip: Great for instant soup, noodles, oatmeal etc.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 17, 2023Verified PurchaseThis item arrived quickly/ on time, looks durable but I received one that has already have some corrosion/ dark spots on its metal part, I thought this metal part is supposed to be stainless steel., the handle is a bit slippery to handle even with dry clean hands and the actual position of the handle is a bit awkward/ slippery., I am planning to return this product but I got tired to do another return with 鶹 within 6 months (electric kettle), I hope that 鶹 will have a better quality control of the products being sold in their platform because it is such a waste of time and money.
I paid $41 for this item, I find it pricey with the imperfections on its metal part.
Boils quickly !!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Limited Storage Space
Verified PurchaseI've had this for a couple years now. It's still working great. I use it when camping in a pop-up camper. Storage is limited, so it's great that this thing is collapsible. Sure, it's slower at boiling water than the electric kettle at home. The tradeoff in compactness and packability is worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my camper van.
Verified PurchaseIn my Class B RV, there's not a lot of storage space. Every inch counts. This 0.8 liter kettle is wonderful. It boils water quickly. It's very sturdy. And the best feature, of course, is that it collapses into half the usual space. It's a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great kettle for a camper van
Verified PurchaseBought this kettle for use in my camper van and it does everything needed. Collapses down for stowage, rugged enough to survive bumpy roads, expands and holds enough water for a full pot of tea.
Measured the power and it averaged about 792 watts; about 62 amps in my system (nominal 12.6VDC - 2000W PSW inverter). It takes almost exactly 6 minutes, or about 6.2 Ah to boil the full kettle.
Faster and easier that using a propane or butane stove, and no fumes in a small camper. Fill it up, plug it in, continue fixing other stuff and when the auto shut-off trips....make the tea. No waiting and watching, and no boiling over. Set it aside to cool off, have breakfast, then collapse the kettle and stow it. Easy.
I started by boiling a few kettles of water with a little white vinegar to get rid of any taste and now it's clean and clear.
Haven't had it long enough to evaluate long term reliability, but for the price it's a great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy for travel
Verified PurchaseOrdered this for a trip to a 4 star hotel. It has been our experience that the higher graded hotels give you a Keurig in the room (my husband is a tea drinker) or think that you will just get a pot of tea from room service (very pricey). This little kettle was just the ticket! The kettle heated water quickly and he was able to get about a 12 oz mug full for his tea. We brought along some tea bags and he was good to go! It didn't take up too much space in our luggage. Cleaning wasn't an issue as we only used it for water. I don't think it would be a good idea heating anything but water in it because it does come to a boil. Cleaning might become an issue then as well. It works well for what it is designed to do: boil water.
