The MultiQuick 9 is Braun’s best performing and most powerful hand blender yet. It now features Active PowerDrive Technology, with its high-performance 700-watt motor that results in up to 40% faster performance*. The new MultiQuick 9 is equipped with a wide range of new, cutting edge features like the imode Technology, which lets you create even more precise results at the push of a button. One can choose between 3 speed modes - from pulse, low speed and high speed to customize your blending power into practical speed ranges for different tasks. Low speed mode limits the speed range, which allows you stay in a power zone optimized for soft ingredients and slicing and shredding. In the high speed mode, the full speed range of 700 watts is available for high speed blending and tougher ingredients. And pulse automatically delivers evenly chopped ingredients without smashing. The blending wand with ActiveBlade Technology moves up and down to easily turn the toughest ingredients into the most delicious creations. Finally, the MultiQuick 9 is introducing new attachments in addition to all the existing ones. With the EasyClick Plus attachment system, you can easily swap accessories for the ultimate convenience and versatility. The newly designed 2cup chopper attachment is 20% faster** and has an updated chopping blade and new ice crushing knife.     I needed to replace my old braun multi mix set ( 20 + years old) . I felt it was worthwhile to invest in a more powerful unit such as this. The safety lock takes a bit of getting used to.
    The immersion blender is effective and it is easy to clean. I really like the potato masher too!
    I used the wire whisk accessory and it really is very light duty. It does not do teh job of beaters, so if you need to mix batter or cream sugar and butter, do not throw away your electric mixer ! I kept mine and glad I did.

    I've been using this blender for a few weeks now and here are my thought

    Pros:
    Powerful: This blender has a strong motor that handles all my blending needs with ease.
    Efficient Potato Mashing: It mashes potatoes to a smooth consistency without any lumps.
    Quick Egg Whipping: It whips eggs quickly, saving me a lot of time in the kitchen.

    Cons:
    Plug Issue: The plug doesn't fit the socket properly. I even tried replacing the blender, but the second one had the same problem. Due to this, I have to use an adapter, which is inconvenient.

    Works incredibly well. I wish that it had a dial to limit speed rather than relying on trigger sensitivity to limit speed, but functionally it works much better than the cheap brand that I previously purchased.

    It's also very easy to clean.

    I especially like that it has a slight plunger feature when pressing into things like ice. Kind of similar to wood routers, but a much shorter plunge distance.

    I was looking for a way to plastic-free my blending, and this + a 1l tall Weck jar was the ticket. The wand fits perfectly inside with room to move, but can still blend the entire contents in a column. This might have a small bushing/seal or something still behind the blade (I can't see it too well) but that's the smallest amount of plastic in any blending solution that I have been able to find. As far as I'm aware, the blender is also lead-free per Tamara Rubin's testing.

    I stand the motor and the main blending wand up on a small tray so they take up minimal counter space. It has plenty of power to blend my morning shakes, easily pulverizing the cacao nibs I add. The wand and whisk are super easy to clean as well.

    The whisk is nice too. It connects to a plastic-geared housing, so it seems light duty. But for eggs it works.

    The only downside is that it comes with all these other accessories that I don't really need. I have no real interest in using the food processor or potato masher attachments as they're excessive amounts of plastic. But I suppose it's handy to have just in case?
