Best investment I've ever made to my Afghans!
Amazing ! I am blown away at what a blocking board can do for your projects! This is the first time I've ever blocked anything so I'm no pro but it is so very easy! I love the grid on it as it takes out the measuring part! I'm using steam blocking method with a handheld garment steamer on acrylic yarn. Here is a square not done and one finished. So before and after ... and also a photo of while it was pinned before using the steamer.

    Overall i think the prices on the blocking boards are ridiculous. It obviously doesn't cost what they ask for it but they take advantage on us, knitters/crochetters because we simply have no choice..
    So i bought these for very simple reason - they're the cheapest I found on 鶹. Still at least double priced I believe, for 4 pieces of crappy foam with the grid that doesn't line up between the pieces.. the hint: align the stamps "made in china" to be oriented the same way on each piece, seems to give the best grid alignment.
    They're not too thick, about 1cm, my pins always go thru so i prickle my palms if I try to relocate them after I'm done with blocking and want to place them elsewhere to dry..
    They are NOT self-healing, they're foam boards not silicone.
    They do hold the pins well enough and don't bend out of plane under strain from stretched knits. I didn't try bulky yarns on them though.
    So overall they're average for quality and overpriced given that quality. But we have no choice and it sucks.
